March 23, huh? Wow. I'm gonna try to play it. Thanks ParanoiaDragon!

Whoa, 60 bucks ... that's .... pretty steep. I don't think I'll pre-order this one, I'd rather wait for it to drop in price. It's not like I'm interested in playing it anyway. Also, waiting for a potential NA release could be good too, after all - we're talking Marvelous here. Edit: Hehe, Ys Strategy - March 23, Ys V - March 30. I wonder which one I'll get! Oh, and I'll make a new subboard soon.

Another game with a March release date, just what we needed. I still need to figure out how I'm gonna play a strategy RPG in Japanese. Hopefully someone can write a detailed guide for it.

It's not a strategy RPG. It's an RTS (real time strategy) game. No RPG elements. Probably unplayable in Japanese.

I'm gonna laugh if Ys Strategy totally rocks all over the place. Of course the chance may be slim considering it's in Japanese and on the DS to boot.

No RPG elements. Probably unplayable in Japanese. I'm screwed. Hey, I beat ED VI without any help, maybe there is hope.

I'm gonna wait for a NA release myself, & if it never comes out, I'll just pick up the Jp release to have it in my collection.

Does the Nintendo DS have region codes the same way the PS2, etc. does, or can you just play any game from any region on it?

Marvelous Interactive stated they plan to localize Ys to North America so an English release is highly possible.
Yay region freedom of the DS!

I'm excited! I mean, hell, it's wierd for an Ys game to be an RTS, but, I got used to Suikoden Tactices, so I'm sure I can get used to this. Plus, I used to play the hell out of Warcraft 2 back in the day, & the Age of Empire games always seemed really similar, though less interesting to me.

Looks decent, but I really don't like the artwork in this game!

Oh... My... God... That is DEFINITELY NOT a good art style for Adol! Its not Adol Is like Abel lendford or some such nonesense. Personally I think we should boycott this game. If it doesnt have Adol Christin in it it aint Ys in my book!
