That is the correct way. // If it were Dark Fakku, it'd be "Dark Fuck". XD

I am happy with that. For all we know its an inside joke the creator made up "He he stupid Americans, they will never figure out the true naming of Dark Fuck".

ANYWAY, as far as the name "Dark Fact" is concerned, you can probably blame Mantra for it (people in Korea who released Ys Eternal series in Korea and made Ys 2 Special). Apparently, these people at Mantra looked at the name "Dalk Fukt" and thought it was supposed to be "Dark Fukt". So they thought, "Hey, he must be one of the "dark" priests of Ys" and renamed him "Dark Fact" to sound natural. And then, they added dark versions of each priest in their own game, Ys II Special. So in Ys II Special, at the beginning where Adol has to return books of Ys to priests, he has to climb a tower for each priest and fight dark version of these priests at the top (i.e. Dark Tovah). This turned the simple quest of returning books into a mind-breaking process (puzzles in Ys II Special are HARD). So the name "Dark Fact" became immortalized in minds of Koreans (well at least those who are fans of Ys).

xD! Neat insight there. There's a Dark Adol enemy in Ys VI, now that I think of it. We need everything Ys turned to dark.

Hm...evil red-headed twin vampire goddesses and a bizarro Dogi that traps Adol with walls/boulders instead? That'd be awesome.

The Nega- prefix is over-used. It already annoyed me when they started that "Nega-Eggman" bullshit in the Sonic series.

Didn't Ys Book I & II come out in English before then, though? Because the priest was named Dark Fact in Ys Book I & II, also, which is probably the first time that name was ever used... -Tom Maybe the reason why "Dark Fact" became famous here is due to Ys Book I & II? It again shows how confusing that name is. At least, in Korea, "Dark Fact" became so famous that "Fact" is used for Hugo, Kain, and Thor in the recent Korean translation of Ys Origin by Aruon although by now everyone knows that it's not right. But then, that's understandable because "Fukt" is fairly awkward when it is translated to Korean.

Yeah, the first (and only, with a possible exception of the mobile phone game, which I haven't played) game to use Dark Fact is Ys Book 1-2. It is a great source for bastardised names, like Colin for Dogi, Lair for Reah, Zeptic (septic) village, Aye-Doll ChristiAn, Katana instead of Talwarl, etc.

On that note, I know the kata literally reads Esteria, but is Esterior at all acceptable? Both of them sound just as made up as the other to me but that's probably because I'm not well versed in most mythology.

Fixed! It's just one letter from being exterior, which is VERY annoying. Plus, it reminded me of how they talk in these parts. Everything ends with the suffix "-rior", all instances of "or" and "ar" are changed to "oah" and "aah". It pisses me off... "We'aah goin' out to the doah yaahd, we'aah goinnah shoot a coupleah daahts!" - The instructor talking at the "Deah huntin' safety coahse!" I hate the mannerisms out here... it's terrible! It's like they tried to copy the Australians, and failed miserably! Oh, and Reah definately reminds me of how they say diarhea out here... "DieyAhREyAh" Terrifying.

I dub the next Falcom battle system to be the Zeptic System.

Zeptic sounds good to me, but I got weird taste. Then again it is kinda like septic, ha ha.

The one that does bother me is Tulwar This version was also done by Hudson, same as the Turbo CD game
