After reading FM-77's topic on the same subject and seeing how close he was to getting the mural translations working in-game, I was inspired to finish what he started (or start a parallel project to be more accurate) since a final version was never posted.
I figured it would be a better idea to make a new topic than necropost the other one, especially since most of it was a lengthy discussion of the patch leak and the morals of piracy.
Oh, and since this is my first post: Hi, I'm Raiser. Nice to meet you guys.
Anyway, without further adieu and with apologies to FM-77 for potentially stealing his thunder (sorry), I'd like to present:
Ys: The Oath in Felghana Supplemental English Content
(download link at the top of this post)
Installation Instructions:
Simply unRAR the archive to the folder where you installed Ysf and replace the files that are currently there when prompted. The RAR archive will automatically put in the \data\images part of the path, so please be sure to unRAR this to the root directory of your Ysf installation to avoid the RAR making two new folders in a different location.

Other Misc. release info

Going with the suggestions posted by doppiapunta in FM-77's thread, I've made sure to include alpha channels based on the English text and compressed the files in the A8R8G8B8 32bpp dds format.
In order to give these files a more "official" feel, I also scoured the internet and found (what I believe to be) the same font that Nightwolve/Deuce used for the other files that actually were translated.
The translation I ended up using was a combination of Deuce's "official" translation included with the emails for the original patch and the translation provided by FatedSoul in this thread based on which lines/passages I felt were written better from each. I'm not sure if this will be a point of contention or not, so if you guys don't like the way I ended up writing it, I can always change it to be a carbon copy of one translation or the other.
Additional credits go to:

Well, let me know if there are any problems with these files.
I have tested these files thoroughly and can say with 100% certainty that they will work as long as they have replaced the existing Japanese dds files in the \data\images folder of your Ysf installation.
Let me know what you guys think. Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Version history

Changes in version V1.5:
- The text is much cleaner and more crisp - I did a complete overhaul of the alpha channels to make the text more legible as well as match the "shadowing" style used by Nightwolve for Galbalan's speech more closely. The text now has a faint black outline just like Nightwolve's and no longer appears faded.
- Making the above changes to the alpha channels also fixed the faint "boxed" outlines seen on some of the longer lines of text. This was caused by the shadows extending past the dimensions of the image and getting cropped, however the new alpha channel "shadow" method is much more space-conscious so this is no longer an issue.
- The font size for all text strings has been increased slightly to drastically reduce the blurriness of some letters like the capital "I".
- All occurrences of"sacred treasures" have been changed to "holy artifacts" in order to be consistent with the rest of the game's script.

Additional credits go to:
- FM-77 - for pioneering this idea and providing the dds files I used for placement reference as well as the clean title screen which is also included with these files.
- Deuce - for the original translation provided with the patch emails as well as all the hard work in translating the rest of the game game's script in its entirety.
- FatedSoul - for providing his own translation which better articulated certain lines/passages and allowed for a different perspective on the Japanese text
- doppiapunta - for providing helpful information on his experience with dds textures, aplha channels, and the proper compression format to use for this game
- Nightwolve - for all the time and effort spent hacking/translating the game, despite the unpleasantness of the leak. (If you're reading this, I actually DID donate and I own a legal copy of the game... us Ys fans aren't really bad people, you know...)
