Wow. xD THAT one brings back memories. I was thinking of replaying that game again. I mean, playing the PSP port.

Wow. And here, I'd say roughly half of the FF8 soundtrack is among Uematsu's best, with the main battle theme, Man With the Machine Gun, and Maybe I'm A Lion standing out as three of his best battle themes of all time. Yet, I hate the game. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose! -Tom I kinda agree, while i didnt enjoy the overall game, I kinda forced myself to play it along simply to listen so some of the music, and the battle theme was really pretty awesome. But I totally forgot to mention the battle theme from ... gasp... Brandish 2, the boss battle themes are outstanding, and ofc everyone could agree that the fight with Lavos' first form is superb and same goes with the Magus battle.

OMG nunuu, I completely agree with you about Seiken Densetsu 3, that game was hands down the most fun and most replayable game ever on the SNES, altho I also quite liked the tuff battles with the Twin ninjas Bill and Ben. And its good to see that everybody here enjoys some FF Tactics, that was quality and the themes fit so well with the mood and battles. I also luved the simplicity of the BoF3 battle themes, it was really catchy and stuck for a while. The persona themes however, I dont like so much, prolly cuz of the heavy metal that kicks in! And to the people that havent played Equinox for the SNES, DO IT, ull luv it.

Shadow Hearts series has good battle themes. Three of them stand out for me. Battle With The Fallen Angel:
The Three Karma:
Lady Tears II:

Oooooh, holy sh*t. We commited a sin, Wyrdwad. We didn't mention Vantage Master Japan at all. =( I'll try uploading some of its tracks later. ... The music... is... The Music. Seriously, I think it has my all-time favorite music, of ANY kind. Rules, rules, rules. WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE UPLOAD IT YET??

ITOTALLYFORGOTHOWFRIGGINAWESOMEGOSHIINAIS!!!! D:
But then the ToL OST came up during me shuffling my Creative at work today and I realized how stupid I was.
I seriously wish they'd hire him to do more soundtracks. I've never really been impressed with Sakuraba's music. Good as background music, but it doesn't stand out nearly enough to warrant outside listening for me. Then you have Tales of Legendia, which was the first soundtrack I ever preordered. The trailer music alone blew me away and made we want the full OST. Gawd, that was a long wait. D:
AHHHHHHHHHHH IT'S SO PRETTY.

After listening to all of these BoF III songs that MP83 is scattering about everywhere, I have just realized that I have totally, utterly, completely forgotten whatever even happened in that game. I can't remember a thing about the game beyond.... Ryu having a purple haired friend and recruiting Deis. :'D But what all of these songs did remind me of was the awesome-ness of BoF IV's songs! X'D I loved this song! Still do actually! (Only that... whenever I do listen to it, I also always remember getting 6 cavities filled by my dentist.... :'D) And...! I can't believe I forgot this song! <3 <3 <3 Also, all of the Tales of Legendia OST be awesome!

I would have probably butchered me poor old dentist! :P Nay. I actually came back, ate ice cream and lentil soup, and watched me Ryu and co. sadly kick the big boss' rear end. And so the grand event has forever been etched in my mind with amazing music and me burnt smelling teeth. :/

Hey Wyrdwad, any chance you can upload Shirla & Goes, and also Alluring Red Eyes?

I've mostly prefer the PSP version, which a few exceptions, such as Queen Isabelle. So a game rip on Shirla and Goose theme would be perfect. Especially if it's a completely different song on the soundtracks. And yeah alluring red eyes is the right track. Again I think it sound better on PSP. Maybe the superior sound quality of a CD exposes it as being a bit shallow, but I like the PSP version.

My favorites list of "OMGAWESOMEYAY!" RPG battle themes is too damn huge. Luckily a good number of them have been posted already. XD
The number of good Suiko series (thank you, Yakra~) songs and the peppering of Seiken Densetsu series songs in here makes me happy.
Also, seeing some Sekito nods, which is even better. I do believe he's become my favorite RPG battletastic composer these days. So I'm going to hit a one-two punch and throw in some Seiken, Sekito style!
So here's some Blood Feud, from Dawn of Mana for y'all.
Since I couldn't freaking FIND the song I wanted on Youtube, I tried my own upload. Hopefully I didn't botch it.

The 7th Dragon OST has four discs. Two for the DS version, and two for Famicom sound. They followed the trend started with the Etrian Odyssey soundtracks, including the DS version and retro version of the music. I don't know if the game includes an option to change the music, but it's still great to hear nonetheless.
