Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's an excuse either, but I do think CFW is worth the small time-investment.

Indeed, I'm not contesting that either. It makes sense, regardless of the fact that I have a different perspective on it.

Good points all, but it doesn't really help make the game look all that great, when you have to use custom (and non-approved) firmware to make the game run as smooth as it should.
UMD shittyness strikes again!

So, just beat it like 20 minutes ago, and the only question I'm left with is: What's the deal with Eiphel and the princes of the Black Star?

He was just joking about his opinion. Mind you, it pisses me right off when people do that to me. Hey, you actually can do that to me, right? Make me say something funny Wyrdwad! I mean, actually literally, change THIS post. Pretty please

SD cards are FASTER too, don't forget! I think that's a brilliant upside, compared to the UMD format. I *always* rip my UMDs before I play them. It sure made Ys VI PSP even more awesome than it was before! It still remains my favorite of all renditions! As far as SD cards being easy to lose... I hear you. They should create "SD card cases" -- like they have DVD cases and UMD cases, etc.! I believe Final Fantasy Dissidia had the right idea, but its execution was pathetically slow. I can rip the UMD faster than using its built-in install feature. Of course, that's easy to explain; it's trying to run the UMD at the same time, vs. simply ripping it via external software, whether it'd be ripped using software on the SD card or to an HDD via CFW and a linked PSP.

Yeah, hey, thanks for letting me know via PM. Really, it was much appreciated. And for the record, I don't see your name beside those quotes: A choice that was done out of courtesy. Good job! UMD is old technology period. There isn't a single handheld device that uses opitcal disk technology anymore, and for many good reasons. Sony should have learned its lessons with their shitty Minidisk format too. I have never lost an SD card, nor any other smaller type of media. I take care of my stuff

Oh UMDs aren't slow. Cartridge media is just faster Did anyone else find Mel's Scottish voice annoying?

To be honest, the new voices grew on me. I love them! Nall is so much less annoying in this version! I'm really hopeful for a remake of Eternal Blue, and Lunar 3. Hell, maybe even a full-on story about the four heroes!

So, just beat it like 20 minutes ago, and the only question I'm left with is: What's the deal with Eiphel and the princes of the Black Star? Weak attempt to add value to an old and dated game to get people to justify purchasing it yet again

I agree.
If Gamefarts had the potential to make a good Lunar sequel, they would have already.

I'm tempted to agree with that logic, but, I want them to be brewing SOMETHING behind the scenes, so, I hope, & I wait.
