I can't think of any either, which is why I said I'm not an expert.

Only one I can think of is Japanese Phantasy Star Portable 2. About a month after release there was an extra download that fixed a few things and put a 1.01 version number on the title screen
The patch uses the same folder as DLC missions so I figure the game has to already be written to look and handle extra data

Doesn't Project Diva have an enhancement patch which makes it playable *as* Project Diva Arcade (with the graphics and everything) from your PSP to the PS3?
Also, how are the Phantasy Star Portable games? Are any of them worth it?

Also, how are the Phantasy Star Portable games? Are any of them worth it? I'm the wrong one to ask because I've already spent several hundred hours on PSP2 already. PSPo isn't that great as it's a streamlined PSU, but PSP2 is nearly a ground up rebuild of PSU and is a great action game dungeon crawler. The US/EU version got gimped with removing most of the voice acting, no DLC missions/events, no DLC items paid or free, and overall it was made easier (easier to get some drops and upgrading your weapons makes them more powerful than the Japanese counterparts). If you don't mind playing in Japanese, there's a free demo up on the JP PSN for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity showing off the first chapters of ep.1 & 2, the new race, a lv.100 cap, and the new Infinity Mission system

Oh, wow. That's really disappointing! A retail PS3 disc to upgrade a PSP game... I can't say I like that. At the same time, I can't complain if I don't buy the PSP game and just get the PS3 disc! Oh, wait, yes I can... I don't have a PS3. Doesn't PD2 have *all* of the original songs anyway? The only point to getting the original PD is if it were bundled with PDA-PS3, then? Is PDA-PS3 compatible with PD2? Also, I'm somewhat intrigued by PSP2, but level with me, is the story anything special, or is it simply an ection game? I mean, a lot of people play Champions of Norath without following the story... (because... honestly, all they care about is running around collecting duplicate weapons with random + and - stats and skill customization... regardless, it's nutty, and I don't care for it.)

As for Phantasy Star Portable... nobody plays 'em for story. -Tom Yeah, I'll agree. But the characters are.. well characters, the world lore is interesting (especially now that they're linking PSU with PSO), and the game offers character customization almost as detailed as City of Heroes, so people grow more attached to their characters than other dungeon crawlers or MMOs where you'll look the same as anyone else that is your race/class. I stopped RPing years ago, but each of my PSO/PSU characters have a story behind them.. and that's a pretty common thing among PSU players

Awesome site! A mite spoiler heavy, not of plot, but of items/magic/ect, but still severely awesome. Well, Tarf's character looks a little like a spoiler, but I guess you'd need to know a LITTLE more for it to be one. Bravo for making this site without using flash (or at least an intrusive amount if any is hidden besides the sound

I can totally respect that One big question. Dark Fact's bio seems to imply that his anime background is canon. Is that from Falcom themselves? I just have to ask, because I loved the anime, and squealed when I saw that description

Never knew it was canon.

. . . but that's a direct translation straight from the Japanese instruction manual. No embellishment or additions whatsoever. Eeee!!! I know now that you had no part in making it that way, but eeeee. Dark Fact in the anime was such an awesome character. In the games he's always struck me as cliche and maybe on the edge of boring sans his fight. Even if the details aren't scattered through the game, this makes Ys I better to me. Also curious what this password is... And I was just told lastnight that I'm getting this for my birthday! Mostly so I didn't pre-order it since I'll have the money to do so this weekend. Can't wait to get my hands on it even though I only just finished replaying Complete.

I'm curious about Dark Fact's human design. I kept seeing him in official art that way, but I find it kind of strange that they changed his design so much.

Honestly, it's my favorite design of the new art.
Chronicles had Reah, Feena, et all looking a little older, more mature. The newer art just doesn't have quite the same feel to me
I'm glad we'll be able to choose which to use - though I'll probably play through first using the new just to see how it feels amid game.

I didn't even know there was a human picture of Dark Fact, and it's also the first time I'm hearing about his past. Pretty cool.

Wow, poor Fact. That would explain it better, though I'd have wished that they'd embellish on it more in the games than in the manuals. Also: Lilia is Michael Jackson. Though I already knew that from my Japanese copy. >_> I wish XSEED had a trade-in program for Japanese-to-English versions. That'd so totally rock. I'd trade mine for English versions in a heartbeat. Though, at least I have foul cursing Roos in mine.

I specifically requested to have it swapped out for his human-looking design for the English manual (and consequently, for the website as well). With his bio text being so sad and sympathetic, it just seemed really incongruous for the accompanying image to be GENERIC DEVIL INCARNATE, you know? -Tom Bravo! Very nice touch indeed! Plus, it will be that much more shocking to new players when they see him for the first time in the game...
