Anybody heard anything about what Falcom plans to do about the PSPGo? I don't have a PSP, I want to buy the Go, but I also want to play Ys Seven. I can't find any mention of the PSPGo in relation to Ys Seven anywhere (though it's hard to search, news hit about both Ys Seven and the Go at the same time).

Nothing about that was ever mentioned.
And I don't think that will happen, myself.

If Sony even remotely wants the PSPGo to succeed, they should be putting up all current and future releases up on PSN, so I think Ys 7 will make it up there eventually.
The problem is, since it's only JP-only for now, you'd probably need a JP account, along with JP point cards, which is still a hassle.

Unfortunately, Sony has no say in it, because they decided not to force developers to do it, not even in post-PSPGo releases. It's up to the developer whether or not to release their game on PSN. Luckily, it takes almost no work on the part of the developer, but that doesn't guarantee the developer will do so. Here's hoping that Ys Seven is released on PSN at least by the PSPGo Japanese launch in November, and they haven't announced it because Sony seems to be keeping developers from announcing their games as launch titles.

Yeah, as of right now, Ys Seven is a UMD-only game. Blame Sony for being stupid enough to release a new PSP without a UMD drive. -Tom At least now they're finally letting you use PS3 pads with it. Finally. That pretty much kills my only reason to use remotejoylite anyway. That's kind of not worth $250 though.

Yeah, but that slightly smaller screen is brighter, not noticably interlaced and no ghosting. And unlike the older PSP's, it's actually portable, so I could play Ys everywhere I went!

So, any news yet either way? PSPGo is out in Japan Sunday, along with a large dump of downloadable games on PSN Network.

It's funny, Falcom don't seem entirely adverse to using the PSN to put stuff up, yet they haven't done it with PSP games at all - none of their titles are up there (the US version of Gurumin is, but not the Japanese one).
I don't see what harm it can do them to put it up, really - regardless of what your opinions are on the PSP Go, more sales is more sales.

What kind of work does it entail putting a game up on the network? Is it just send the game data off to Sony or does the programming need to be reworked at all? Can't imagine why it would.

Also, Unsavory: Boooo to labeling Muramasa as overhyped in your Now Playing sig!! Man, was that a fun game. -Tom I've been miserable so the gameplay's been miserable. Does that make sense? With all the previews and stuff I read up on it, I expected a lot more than what I got. At least it's pretty and it has a good story.

Just in case anyone wanted to know, while there are a bunch of new PSP games on PSN for the Go's release, no Falcom games were included.

Yeah, oddly enough, we got more Falcom games in the US PSN Store - Gurumin.
