Any of those titles interest anyone? D: All 3 are actiony RPG-ish titles coming out this year from Namco Bandai, NIS, and Sega/tri-Ace respectively. (EoE is also known as Resonance of Fate.)
I believe the demo for God Eater is out now. (It's for the PSP).
Kind of interested in Last Rebellion although I'm not sure how fun the gimmick of needing to switch between two characters in battle will be.

Nope. Rebellion just looked average last I saw it, End of Eternity looks awful, and God Eater is a handheld game so I'm automatically not interested.
Just as well really, cus the PS3 games are both coming out on the 28th January, which is the same day as Ar Tonelico 3 comes out, and that's more than enough for me right now.

EoE looks pretty cool imo. I snagged the demo, but I haven't played it yet. I've heard its like Valkyria Chronicles, but more traditional than strategy based.

Don't know what God Eater is, End of Eternity looks good and I'm a Tri-Ace fan so I'll check it out, Last Rebellion looks entirely average, unless we have a severe gaming-drought during the summer like last year, I probably won't pick it up unless it turns out to be a hidden gem.

I actually almost threw in EoE in my 'let's finally collect PS3 games!'-order. In the end, I opted to wait and see how it actually turns out, and what would be people's reactions to it, before picking it up. PS3 games are expensiiiiive~~~ And are seriously now making me think before randomly picking up any randomness. :'D
I probably WILL end up getting it though. I'm the exact opposite of wyrdwad with my experiences with Tri-Ace stuff sooooo~~~~~ :'D Might just be a whole load of fun.
Last Rebellion looked kind of meh meh to me. Sort of interesting, but not enough to make me run off squealing after it? I'll probably restrain meself from getting that. Unless if NISA throws out some REALLY amazing pre-order bonus with some extrodinarily gorgeous artworks. (Which, I be seeing no signs of. Thankfully. X'D)
And I hadn't even heard of God Eater! I guess all my attention had been eaten up by the upcoming .hack? I shall take a look now and see what it be like!

I think the game looks pretty ugly. Even if the official art is pretty, that very rarely has any bearing on the game unless they use anime-stills for the characters in cutscenes.

Huh, you're half-right. The character models do look better than I remembered. The actual environments still look ugly if you ask me, though.

I haven't seen much of Last Rebellion's stuff beyond whatever all I've gathered from NISA's mails, buuuut... it's not that it is totally unappealing. It just hasn't managed to grab me in any particular way beyond the fact that since it is a NIS game, my mind automatically says it might just probably be fun.
It just looks a bit too dark themed for my tastes (for now) though. Or rather, perhaps I ought to say, dreary? Or dull.
Basically, I'm not totally uninterested. Infact, I would like to give it a try sometime in the (faaaaar off) future. Just not now. Me wallet could not afford it. :'D

I might try it out sooner or later too since I'm a JRPG nut. Average isn't the same as bad, it just means it has no kind of priority on my to-buy list.

And Yakra: It's actually NOT a NIS game, which may make you LESS interested. As mentioned above, NIS is only publishing it - the developer is Hit Maker, the developers of Blade Dancer and Dragoneer's Aria on PSP, and A Witch's Tale on DS. How they hooked up with NIS, I'm not sure, and it's possible they're working *with* NIS on it, rather than developing it on their own and just relying on NIS for publishing... but nonetheless, it's a Hit Maker game. Hem~! ....Ye have made me less interested. Sadly, I never found the time or the motivation to pick up either of the three, even though they DID look interesting. :'D Why do I feel that poor Last Rebellion is going to suffer the same fate with me now....? :'D

I thought Valkyrie Profile 2's battle system was very polished and intricate. It was a sort of steep learning curve, though, but once you learned how to take, it wasn't afraid to give.
The Star Ocean games and their heavy-duty customization systems could have been polished up a bit though. I hear SO4 does a good job at this, though.

Well, the main problem I have with the battle systems of tri-Ace games in general is that the strategy ends up boiling down to spamming all your attacks until the enemy dies. This becomes particularly egregious in bonus dungeons where if you cannot finish off all enemies in one turn, then they will just kill your entire party in few hits. That's more of frustration than challenge.

Well, I never tried the bonus dungeon in either of the Valkyrie Profile games, but that's not how it was like in the main game at all, at least.

I tried the demo for God Eater. The story is kind of interesting, and the controls are good. But if the missions available in the demo are representative of the rest of the game, it's a little too samey and not terribly interesting. Kind of a hack n slash with a lot of pointless running around.

Well, I never tried the bonus dungeon in either of the Valkyrie Profile games, but that's not how it was like in the main game at all, at least. The main game is indeed more generous but the gameplay still seems to be focused on relying soley on combos (something I hate since I am not very good at maintaining combos in general - it's also a reason why I don't like Tales series). I really want to see more tricks to combat than just endless combo sessions.

End of Eternity has all sorts of wrong in it. But it still makes for silliness:
