I'm gonna be like Nunuu being like myself and start a thread about a game console.
I've got a Wii and a Gamecube controller. I can easily borrow another one, and I've got on at my grandmother's house that I could get.
So you can include le multiplayer games.
Just... which games should I get?
One question though: Can I play GBA games on the Wii using that Gamecube thing?

I don't think they're compatible, no.
Anyway, Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker are the best GC games out there if you ask me. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is also really fun if you're several players.

Well now I own a second controller, heh.
Alright, I'll check those out. I've already known and seen/played each of them a bit, but never finished them since I didn't own a Gamecube.

Chibi-Robo is indeed a lot of fun, I'll second that one. Although Super Mario Sunshine will always be my favorite GC game.

The worlds aren't really samey, the only possible issue is that the FLUDD can ruin the platforming element some of the time but not really, and there are platform levels where the FLUDD gets taken away (lots of them, too) to satisfy those people, so meh. The REAL problem was they expected another revolution on the same scale as Mario 64, which is, to be honest, an incredibly dumb expectation to have. If you take it for what it is, a 3D platformer, it's one of the best in it's field, IMO.

Best GC games and nobody mentions Metroid Prime? Sure it's out in the Metroid Prime Triology for Wii, but the GC version has more visual effects
For multiplayer F-Zero GX, Phantasy Star Online (ironically for the offline multiplayer), Midway Arcade Treasures 1, maybe that Wario Ware game, and some flavor of Mario Party
You can't use the GBA player on the Wii. It required a physical add-on to the GC to work. I dunno about games that connect to the GBA like Wind Waker or PSO.. I don't have a GBA anymore to test connecting it to my Wii. But if it does work, Pac-man Vs. is another suggestion for multiplayer GC games

Where is the recommendation for Eternal Darkness? HUH?!?!??! Let me check my list.... Baiten Kaitos (was mentioned. I suggest picking up both for the whole story, but I'm a story person.) Lost Kingdoms I really liked. But look at videos first. It's a unique blend of card action and action rpg. Not for everyone. Luigi's Mansion is cute if you haven't played it. Can be found for cheap. (If you have a list of GC games somewhere, sorry!) Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes. I liked the remake more than the original, but I don't remember why. *shrug* Pikmin! Pikmin 2! Pikmin is fun! Tales of Symphonia. One of the most acclaimed Tales of released in English. I have others but not sure how I feel about recommending them without really knowing your tastes, so...! backloggery.com/tancients

I really like what I remember watching of Prime, and that's from an era where I hated FPSs. I've since gotten over that, so I'll probably really enjoy. The trilogy is like 80$ and Prime 1 and 2 are like 5$ each. Guess which route I'm taking. Thanks for the recommendations guys! I'll probably check out EB tomorrow or over the weekend or something

Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes. I liked the remake more than the original, but I don't remember why. *shrug* Great game, but good luck finding a copy that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. The Resident Evil 1 remake was also nice, but dunno about the rarity on that one. I liked Metroid Prime because it was the first fps I've ever played that felt like a platformer. Sure they seriously fudged the size of platforms, but it helped make all the jumping far less frustrating and more natural. Just how comfortable swinging with the grappling beam felt during the beginning escape sequence grabbed my attention. I used to keep my GC around just to play GBA games but now I just play them on my Wii *cough*

Super Mario Sunshine A really good game, both a step up and a step down from Mario 64. The only thing I REALLY hated about it, was the huge difficulty level spike -- using FLUDD to maneuver a mud boat. That is perhaps the MOST frustrating thing to do in the game, because it's tedious, it's difficult, it's UNPREDICTABLE (as in, good luck steering the damn thing!) ...but that really only makes up 2% of the game, lol. It's definitely harder than Mario 64. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door I can't recommend this one enough -- it's awesome. Just get it! Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker The dungeons, sidequests and story are the real meat and potatoes of this game -- but traversing the overworld is needlessly BORING and ANNOYING. Look at me, I'm on a boat! Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Okay, this game will seriously bore the fuck out of you in single player. It's MUCH better in multiplayer! ...but even then, it's overcomplicated. Forging equipment couldn't be MORE of a hassle, bosses WILL overpower you! Chibi-Robo! Fucking awesome. Wyrdwad words wads of truth. Metroid Prime / Trilogy It is AWESOME! F-Zero GX YES! Luigi's Mansion Yes. Metal Gear Solid I wish I had this one, actually. I loved the original, but I've only ever played the demo. Pikmin and Pikmin 2 Yes. Tales of Symphonia Yes! ...though I never finished it. XD Gameboy Player YES!!! I would mention The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and Kirby Air Ride, for multiplayer AND single player. Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle , Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut, Sonic Heroes, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 are all awesome too, by the way. Hell... here's my GCN Backloggery.

What is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle? Just like Sonic Adventure 2 with an extra battle mode? Thanks guys What are some multiplatform games with better ports or better controls (I... kinda doubt it) on the GC. For example, would the GC versions of the Prince of Persia series be recommended above the PS2 or XBox (God forbid...)

Pretty much, it has an EXPANDED two-player mode. And all of the Sonic ports on the GC are awesome! You're welcome.

Seconding the Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil REbirth recommendations, and I'm tempted to second The Twin Snakes as well, but there are some things you should keep in mind, such as the lowered difficulty and really awkward cutscene changes. Otherwise it's a very good remake.
The lack of a mention of P.N.03 disturbs me. It's a pretty damn underrated game, in my opinion. It felt a bit rushed, yes, but it's very unique, and best of all, fun. Well, if you can get over the Mikami-isms.

I only like watching scary games, and a friend owns the two of those. And MGS Twin Snakes. I've already watched that, yeah.
I've always wanted to try PN03.

I hear it also has muffled sound quality... I'll ask Justin about that one, he's the expert.
Hey, I watched a video from Chibi Robo. Oh good God I want this game now. I'd been interested before but... my oh my. I didn't really like Chulip (it scared me in fact, moreso than Resident Evil ever has, except with Lisa Trevor) but I think I could get behind Chibi Robo.

Yep, the sound quality took a dive, but the additions out weigh that problem. The only other thing that blows is the Cham beeping is in-game now. In the DC version, you got to use the VMU, which was kind of neat. Also, REmake kicks major ass! As for other "ports", I'd go as far to say Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is MILES better on the Gamecube. It was the native system for the game, and the controls are much better (more traditional). Oh, um.. I'm a Metroid Ninja, and I absolutely adore Metroid Prime 1. It is in my top 5 all time awesome games. To each their own

No I'll definitely get Metroid.
And Twilight Princess, I suppose, since I guess that's what you do with Zelda games. Buy them or something.

Agreed. I didn't bother completing it like I've wanted, but that's okay. Some of the goals are a little unrealistic for me, lol. The story is actually pretty good, the game has that sortof Pixar movie charm to it. // By that, I mean the game's beaten, I just didn't collect the remaining clear stickers/stamps/whatever.
