I know next to nothing of Slayers, but I do know this might appeal to Lumi! If I had more time I might check it out myself~

Lumi showed me some of the first season (like 2 or 3 eps), I think it was. It wasn't bad! I just haven't seen any more beyond that.

Slayers is awesome. Totally worth seeing sometime, the first series is very good, and the second series is excellent. The third seems to divide fans a lot, but I personally really enjoyed it too.

Isn't there a side series as well? I've heard it is pretty good too.

Isn't there a side series as well? I've heard it is pretty good too. Side series? There's a bunch of movies and stuff set around just Lina and Naga, then there's the recent fourth series (split into two) which is best avoided. We do not speak of it! I need to read the novels sometime. I have all 15 of the main ones in Japanese sitting on my shelf.

Oh that! Yeah, that's loose indeed but it's the same author. He's written a ton of other stuff as well, just none of it's ever become anywhere near as popular as Slayers did. Lost Universe is more known for the infamously bad quality of its animation - they fixed much of it for the DVD versions, but when the anime actually aired it was awful. They hadn't actually finished the opening animation by the time the show started, so the first bunch of episodes had a minute and a half of an 'under construction' sign instead

lmao, oh man I'd kill to see that "under construction" in action. That is just... classic. How that even got to broadcast amazes me.
