Stumbled upon a really great band called, The Gameboys. Their forte is obviously playing live renditions of classic video game tunes, with a catalog ranging from Donkey Kong Country, to Chrono Trigger, and then all the way back to Genesis era Sonic. They even do highly recognizable level end jingles and quirky game specific sound effects, adding a high degree of authenticity to each cover track. The last few seconds of the video below should ring alarm bells for any and all Sonic fans (get to the bubble!). ~More info on Scatterbrain~

There a local band from my college town of Athens, GA called Bit Brigade. They usually cover the entire albums of Contra, Mega Man 2 and Ninja Gaiden. Bit Brigade The nice addition to their live shows is that they have a gamer play the game live and the band simply performs as the soundtrack to the levels, keeping up with his progress in the game. He usually, doesn't die, but if he does, they synchronize that with their playing. Pretty cool stuff! : ) -Thomas
