I recently ran into the same problem mentioned in these threads: seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yso&action=display&thread=4667seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yso&action=display&thread=2793On both WinXP & Vista laptops. So, I made a small installer that launches the original installer and patches it as it loads so it gets past the runtime error. So, if you're getting this error installing the extra disc: Download yso_installer v0.0.1( or see the attatchment, at the bottom of the post. ) Extract the .rar anywhere and open it: It will ask you to find the original installer on the YSO extra disc. Select and open it to continue: You will be greeted by a familiar face for your troubles: ( this is a loading screen while it patches & opens the original installer ) The installer will then show itself and continue as normal - minus the runtime error. //profit. Coded & tested on Win XP and Vista. Worked for me on both, so posting it. Attachments:

I was having the same errors, too, so I just gave this a try. It did bypass the initial runtime error and all. However, when the installer was finally going to... install, I got the same, usual runtime error, and the installer closed. :/ I'll try to manually copy the files or something, I guess... But still, that was very nice of you to post, so thanks! Even though I'm an year late. XD
