Nice T.O. take. Still my fave game. I'm not a fan of in-game voices. I leave that to anime.
G. is kinda cute. Just relax and kill him with love^^ You have a lot to face after that battle.

I love the ingame voices when they're spot on, otherwise they annoy me. IE: Mega Man X voice acting... -shudder- Guilen (I can't believe I spelled a topic wrong x.x) is just... really annoying. But nothing on normal mode compared to hard mode. I never beated the Ys III Wanderers from Ys final boss T.T he's very hard - but doable. especially on the NES port XD

No no, I'm sure he means Megaman 8, Maverick Hunter X, X4, X7, X8, Battle Network Transmission, and that X RPG. Even X5 and X6 as the voices for every shot and saber attack are annoying too.

X8, Maverick Hunter X, and Command Mission all had good voice acting. D:

Seriously? I can't decide if X8 or CM had worse VAs, I'd lean toward CM though.

Maverick Hunter X's voice acting was fine, but hardly impressive. Dunno about the other two.

I really liked the voice acting in Maverick Hunter X, especially the voices of X and Zero. They're voiced by the same people in X8 and CM, right? I forgot to mention, I played this one too. Rather loved it. I enjoyed what they did with the sigma levels This is probably the best game as far as mega man voice acting goes.

My only problem with Maverick Hunter X is that I tore through it too quickly and now don't remember it too well. <_<
Urge to have a Mega Man X marathoning day, increasing.. When I do one-sitting clears it is usually of classic series games. I haven't just sat down with Mega Man X games in a while. Ah, but to have an audience to motivate me or someone else to take turns with...

One thing I liked about MHX, is that I could actually complete a no-upgrades run! That made me happy.

It was hard playing X2-5 after MHX since that one was so much better. Such a shame they decided not to make any more MHX games.

Just like Dracula X Chronicles, I prefer the original sprite art and animations to the 3D models. I'll never tire of the original versions of the games, and often prefer them

Well, I prefer MHX because I think it just plays better.
Of course, I played MHX first which I doubt you did, and that's probably a deciding factor in which you prefer. Similarly, I also prefer Dracula Chronicles X. Especially the soundtrack.

Yeah. Unfortunately, X's voice actor's now retired and Zero's voice actor... didn't return to do his voice in MvC3, for some reason. More specifically, Mark Gatha is now Dr. Mark Gatha, so he unfortunately can't do voice acting anymore. Lucas Gilbertson wanted to voice Zero in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, but Capcom never contacted him for it (he ran a mailbag corner at MegamanX9.com and openly complained about this). I don't see why they didn't call him, either; Street Fighter IV was fully dubbed, as I recall, but are crossovers too niche to warrant English voice acting...? If you haven't checked it out already, Lucas recorded a few greetings for Rockman Perfect Memories. Play clips #1 and #4 (click the corresponding Heart Tanks) to get an idea of how much he enjoys playing Zero. As far as I'm concerned, Mark Gatha is the definitive voice for X, and the same is true for Lucas as Zero. The voices for Sigma and Axl were pretty good, too. Too bad the script for Maverick Hunter X was formulaic and squarely aimed at teenagers. I haven't played Command Mission yet, but I intend to eventually. Incidentally, with the exception of Robert Belgrade's Alucard, I thought the Dracula X Chronicles redub of Symphony of the Night was superb. Yuri Lowenthal may have been better casting to match Ryotaro Okiayu, but Belgrade made the role his own (incidentally, Okiayu is also Zero's Japanese voice actor). Yeah, I'm not a member of the "so bad, it's good!" camp. There was a mild bit of overacting (Richter's "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?"), but nothing downright terrible. Edit: I can confirm that Zero is dubbed in English in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. If that isn't Lucas playing Zero, it's a pretty convincing soundalike.

^Truer words have never been spoken. As for Lucas, you've got to love a guy who loves his roles so much.

My wife and I always get a kick out of Margo/Cynthia. The VA is just so over the top it's ridiculous. Vic Mignogna(Father Pierre) always does a really good job though. Derek Stephen Prince did a pretty good job as Chester, but he laid it on pretty heavy at times. Regarding Guilern and Gyalva, I just had the pleasure of meeting them in Inferno Mode. Even after a few hours of grinding(to level 20 I think? took me about 20-25 mins to gain a level) He STILL nailed me a dozen or so times. His regular hits only did 1-4 damage, but when he came out of the lava "charged up" he could hit me repeatedly for 19-36 damage rapidly if I got caught in his path. Got EXTREMELY lucky, as I died(death scream and everything) almost exactly when he did, but I got enough points for a level up and it somehow resurrected Adol? That was a weird moment in gaming right there. As for Gyalva, he's even worse. I could be imagining things...but in Inferno mode you have TWO rows of platforms/spikes to worry about.(I coulda sworn there's only one in normal mode) He also likes to isolate Adol at the ends of the bridge and shoot the rapid fireballs at you. A couple extra levels help though. I could do 30-36 damage per hit with a charged up wind bracelet attack, so it was just a matter of out-surviving him. Getting ready to take on the boss in the Lower Mines after some grinding...FML.
