Stuck in nayuta no kiseki...need help!

i'm not sure where i am in the game but i think it's toward the end?

i just got the final disc-type piece for the big machine thing in the star garden, the little flying girl put that in an then progressed a bit more an ended up with the white haired girl going through a portal with the bad swordsman guy.

this is where i seem to be stuck an can't progress the story.

any help?
