Tom, I have a question. I heard about the delay on SC for PSP. Didn't hear any mention of the PS3 version. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall there being the "possibility" of that coming as well. Can you update us on that, or is that still up in the air at the moment? Still nothing to update, I'm sorry to say. It's being looked into, but as of right now, it's still just PSP and PC. -Tom

I'm waiting for the Second Chapter like a children for his birthday, mostly because I finished the First Chapter yesterday, and I must say that it left a pretty good impresion on me. The endgame was so epic, and the last couple of scenes...oh man, it sure was an interesting twist, and that cliffhanger...man, Falcom make one of the most intriguing endings. But now, the sad thing...now that I finished the game, I don't know what game to play to make the time pass by. It doesn't matter if SC doesn't come out by this year...excellent games must take it's time to be, well, excellent.
Just tell me, the other two Legend of Heroes (Tears of Vermillion and Prophecy of the White Witch) currently localized in the PSP, are they good? It that's the case, I may found my distraction while waiting for SC.

Yo Tom, in the recent development blog for the Trails games, it sounds like SC will be digital only. For some reason I had in my head that it would have a limited physical release, am I crazy?? Also, any mention yet on the possibility of the PS3 or even the Evolution version for Vita?

So is there any reason to choose PC over the PSP version or vice versa? I thought for FC the PSP was a better choice because of it being a later port. I was aiming for the PC version of SC, though.
If only there was a way to get my PSP save from FC converted to the PC and save myself one replay.

There's probably some sort of virtual disc change, so that'd be a reason to go with PC. The PSP games you download from PSN are really ISOs. So you'll be asked to save your game, asked to hold RESET while you turn POWER off, and then asked to boot the disc 2 ISO. You only have to do it once per playthrough. It's not a big deal.

You only have to do it once per playthrough. It's not a big deal. Not exactly. Different sections of Liberl are on different discs/UMDs (almost everything in the game is basically broken down via the regions, AFAIK). At first it's not so bad. It's then later on when you go on a repeat tour of the nation towards the end of the game, you will have to change discs at least once in that chapter alone, because of that.

Given that we're getting Trails of Cold Steel and its sequel, I find it hard to believe that we don't also get the 3 you mentioned. Of course, anything could happen, especially given all the localization trouble the series has already had, but in my mind, if the Cold Steel games are being released, it's really only a matter of "when", not "if" we get the rest of them.

I hope you're right. I don't recall hearing much about how much text there is to translate in Zero or Blue, but I believe TitS 3 is nowhere near as large as 2.

Let's play of Trails in the Sky: lparchive.org/The-Legend-of-Heroes-Trails-in-the-Sky/For those like me who need a refresher. Though the game takes ~40 hours, the LP still requires 3-4 hours to read through, I think. Trails has a lot of flaws actually. 1) Poor main battle theme. For me it's a big deal. 2) Poor battle system in general. For players who want to explore and get the most out of it, there's something there. But for the average player, there's nothing. And its strength is good writing and localization. You spend only around 1/3 of the time with the battle system. The rest is spent traversing and reading the story, which I enjoyed.

To me, FC had a bland and directionless story, but the battle system was just enough flavor added to the simple ATB system to make it fun to try to maximize the gain from your Quartz layouts and get all the turn bonuses you could. And I used to think that the music in FC was bland in general before I just got over that it isn't butt rock like Ys nor overly epic like FF nor pure animu like Tails of. Just recently I fired up FC while testing Steam Streaming and my wife took note of the battle theme immediately because of it's up-beat jazziness. Repeating my old thoughts on the story: It's like Cassius is out looking for the plot the entire game while Estelle and Joshua are touring the country, defining the setting. I trudged through the game, but as soon as Cassius returns during the final boss fight and through the epilogue, the real story finally picked up and I found myself immediately wanting SC. but, lol, opinions
