Pulled off a sweet move in Devil's Crush today: You gotta stop sticking your balls in all the wrong places. I picked up Art Style: light trax and BIT.TRIP RUNNER for WiiWare yesterday. Both are pretty amazing musically and stylistically. Back when I was hype on digidrive, I checked out the original GBA versions of it and light trax and the Wiiware version of the latter is even better than before. Also finally started playing Dawn of Ys. Why did the first real dungeon have to be a mine with limited vision? f that noise

Now playing Arkham Asylum.
Ho Li Faku!
Let's just say this game is EXTREMELY trippy! X3 I'm in love with the practical jokes it plays... especially with the gamers themselves! XD

I didn't mean to, honest! I snagged Light Trax yesterday, but haven't had a chance to jam on it. BTR however rocks and has been front and center on my TV over the last week. How far have you gotten to?

Nah, I only got up to stage 1-11. I don't like RUNNER that much because if you die you have to restart the entire level and there's only one correct "answer" on how to get through a stage. I've been playing Light Trax if anything on my Wii 'cause it's more of a dynamic game. The music is also equally good if you get past the part where you don't effect how it sounds at all like in BIT.TRIP ;P

Heh, the game does punish errors. I found that going for the gold stuff actually made the game easier. I wish there was a way to access, or retry the bonus stuff, which is where the real meat of the game is.

Yeah, when you're going for perfects it sucks to have to fail the bonus stage, start the next stage, quit out to the menu, and then start up the previous stage again just 'cause you missed like 1 pile of gold during the bonus stage. At least if you miss gold during the main stages you can restart

This is what I get for ordering from Videogamesplus.ca >:( I'd offer to drive to the local store and beat them with a stick but they might take revenge and somehow magically divert the game back to them so you will never get it. ;__;

It could be worse Justin, my copy hasn't even shipped yet. Either Nintendo or Play-Asia fails to understand that a game like Galaxy 2 is going to sell millions in Japan, I don't know which. Either way, I preordered and put my money down in early April and they just shot to 'backordered' immediately upon release :l
Suffice to say I got tired of waiting today and just downloaded the thing. If Club Nintendo runs out of Galaxy 2 OSTs before my copy arrives for the code though, there is going to be hell to pay.

This game is quite high on my wishlist. I'll have to pick it up one of these days, when I have a bit more time to play video games again. -Tom The OST is quite Falcom-esque so I think you'll like it.

Did Shigeki Hayashi do it? If he did, it's pretty much guaranteed to be amazing.

I plan on picking that up as my vacation-game before I leave in a few weeks. Gotta have me a new PSP game for that 16 hour roadtrip. And all the nights with nothing to do once everyone else is asleep. And the drive back. Lots of books and a new game required for that sort of trip, haha.

Boss design in Dawn of Ys has been pretty cool so far. Each fight is unique and has some sorta pattern that makes it a nice step up from Ys I & II while Mask of the Sun's bosses were all pretty bland.
The sprites are all still too small for my liking. Especially with all the voice acting. It's strange to me to hear a lot of the voices coming out of tiny, featureless sprites.

Well I'd also complain about the PCM audio, but I've got the same gripe about any other TCD game that is mixed redbook/PCM.
It's just more pronounced in Dawn of Ys because you hit PCM in every town. In, say, Rondo of Blood you only really hit it in the lead-up to boss fights and the retro boss song from the Shaft boss rush.
