The Sora wo Miagete/SNK Vocal Collection, eh? I actually wanted to get that CD. Maybe I should have added the mystery box the last time I ordered. I think this was mentioned earlier, but Falcom can take a while to actually charge your card for your order. They do place a pending reserve on your card when they are about to ship the order, but not always. International card transactions does add a slight delay (CD Japan charges always took a couple days to appear on the account.), but most of the delay really is from Falcom. I personally do not like the delay, since I want the order to be charged when the order ships, since makes account keeping a bit difficult and you never know what might come up between the time to order and time to be charged. I take it you got a confirmation email on your last order? C.T. I did, I'm guessing it's just a case of them not actually charging the card yet like you say, since the pending charges were there.

The guide is pretty nice. It's got a funny comic-style cover using in-game character art with huge English words (HELP! OH NO!) and about 8 pages of artwork. The rest is the usual maps with all treasure and stages revealed and a monster guide.
I ordered the guide long after I had written my own one though, wanted to check if there maybe was something intensely cool hidden away that hadn't been discovered yet by us English Brandish fans.

Sadly, I think it'd probably get worse sales than HMH. I'd love it though, and that's what matters!

Don't be like that schlagwerk. If everybody puts their Falcom related hopes and dreams on wyrdwad, he'll just fall over. The way things are now already is some magical scenario, better than any of us could've hoped for a year ago.
That said, the only thing I want more than an official localization of The Dark Revenant is Falcom announcing The Planet Buster for PSP. I can't wait to see their new take on the dual wielding system... will they go for attack types like YSS? Or special stun and knockback effects? Most importantly, will they tone down Ares' godlike ability to dual-wield SHIELDS? Stuff like this is what keeps me up at night!

Can you really have Ares double-wield shields, Sardien? That is so badass! I can't believe I never tried that before!!
I can't think of any other video game character that can do what Ares can do. I mean, what a badass. He can punch anything to death and dual wield tower shields...

Denim of Tactics Ogre fame can dual weild tower shields if you get his Lord class (so can Vice come to think of it) though the damage output is crap so it's really only useful in areas with high ledges or bottomless pits to knock enemies into. Still, two knockback chances per turn can make him an unholy terror in parts of Hell Gate and Eden.

Haha, awesome!
@skye Oh man, how did you get through Brandish 2 without knowing that!? I thought it was obligatory to get through some of those arrow traps that shoot at you from two sides... which it apparently is not! Anyway, the ability to destroy the remains of ancient civilizations while dual-wielding shields is one of Ares' most endearing and inspiring qualities. Ares prefers to sell his swords rather than waste their value on adversaries he can just as easily bash hard.
In gameplay, this system is fun to toy around with. With two shields your defense skyrockets and you get more of a fighting chance when surrounded because you can block in two directions. At the other end, with two swords you overkill everything with ease, but also die in three hits yourself. Switching between ultimate offense and defense gives you even more leniency in terms of how far you can go with base/lower stats, once again emphasizing the focus on exploration this series has.

Ys vs. Sora alternative Saga with guide is the current deal, though only for the first 30 orders, so deal may already be over.

Well, last year's end of year special sale was disappointing... didn't even last 10 minutes. Hopefully this year's will be better.

Well, last year's end of year special sale was disappointing... didn't even last 10 minutes. Hopefully this year's will be better. I was in a hurry when I checked Falcom's special deals page (And forgot about it for the rest of the week.) for the 2010-2011 New Year's special, but it seemed like three different collections of music albums and drama CDs. I remember one of them had the Sora no Kiseki Vocal collection, which I have been looking to get for a while, and so to with a bunch of the Sora no Kiseki drama CDs... C.T.

I still have the Nihon Falcom 2011 Special Offer web page saved on my hard drive¹ but in short, the "New Year's Lucky Bag²" (新春福袋) costed 8,500円 and consisted of:
A) PSP Ys: The Oath in Felghana (with drama CD) B) PSP Ys vs Sora no Kiseki Alternative Saga C) 2 random PSP games. D) 2 random not-for-sale soundtracks. E) 1 random Drama CD. F) A possibly random quantity selection of random not-for-sale non-CD/DVD goods.
¹I'm not sure why but actually, I've had almost every weekly special offer web page saved on my hard drive dating back to December 2007.
²Not so lucky for most since as said, the available orders were filled within 10 minutes of the start of the sale: 「開始10分で100セット完売と なりました。」

New Years Lucky Bags are a BIG thing in Japan and usually they are very limited in number.

Did Falcom change their order email address? I tried to order and my email went back to me with an error.

Gah. I still need to pick up Zwei II+. I guess this is as good of a time as ever. Now where's that Falcom ordering template at? I haven't ordered from them since 2006
UPDATE: Oh hi it's on the first page. Is the order email still order_h19@falcom.co.jp or is it support_h19@falcom.co.jp like it says on their site?
