No, I don't think the artwork is different. You might think the artwork looks better on the psp, but that's because it's on a smaller lcd screen, where as on a tv the artwork is larger and more visable.

I bought a PSP recently as well and decided to pick up Ys VI as my first game.

I totally agree with the loading times (glad to read it's not just my PSP!) - but as far as the graphics frame rates and quality is concerned - come on everyone, it's Ys VI on the move! It goes where ever you go! it runs off a battery! To tell you the truth, I personally am willing to put up with the down-sides in order to have a great hand-held Ys game on the road.

I gotta buy the game. I just need to check out any games stores in malls and in the stores around my area to see if they still sell them.

You can still get Ys VI PSP at www.buy.com. They also have Legend of Heroes PSP which I think is out of print now.

I bought Ys after I played Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III on my PSP. I read all the bad reviews but I was interested in Ys VI and I got a new copy pretty cheap here in London. However I think this game is amazing! Yeah there are more and longer loading times than in Tales for example if you enter a building or you enter a new stage but on the other hand it plays much faster because you don't have to wait after every random encounter before the action starts and the same applies after the battle is over. Of course it's a hack and slash action RPG and it plays probably even smoother on the PS2 or the PC but I don't care because if you want a great RPG on the go Ys is a very good choice!
