I usually go to gamefaqs if I have game questions, but if I am really into a game, I try to find a fan site or board. That is exactly how I found this board, as I came here looking for other Ys fans because I think I am the only one living in canada. I have yet to meet a human face to face that knows about this series.

Nunuu is from Canada! Inochi too. There's more, but I don't remember which ones right now. Maybe they're not as active.

(Well, "know" as in having regular contact with them over the phone because it's work-related! :E) They're mostly nice unlike some Edmonton or Fort McMurray people!

I had a good friend who lives in Canada; but this chick he and god knows twenty other men are dating probably still has her hand up his butt. Think puppets. In other words, he's whipped, and so's everyone else. She's got all of her men wrapped around her finger, and crap like that just bothers the living hell out of me. After finding out the kind of crap she'd say behind my back though, after finally understanding her true nature, I tried helping all of her "boyfriends" (Toys? Puppets?) out of the same damn situation I was in. God knows she knows how to lie out her tiny ass though and get out of a tight spot in five seconds -- tops. I kinda became infamous after that.

Yeah we are not very friendly with edmontonions, but I like there hockey team too. My dad is from there so it kinda makes me neutral haha. Its not a hate so much as a sibling rivalry, and it makes for great sporting events.

Yes rocket has surfaced again....
hmm from what i read, wyrdwad needs to make his way to canada and meet a nice lass. I am the oldest person to have posted in this topic at this point which is obviously now irrelevent. Seriously though Canada is filled with many nice ladies that are Very friendly. Hell I just came back from 9 days hidden in banff and never wanted to return home again. There is no better place in life to go on vacation and have privicy and meet so many cute college girls. Hell even all my maids were cute and friendly. The staff all much younger then me still demenstrated the normal canadian frendlyness that I grew up on more then 23 yrs ago. There are a lot more honest and friendly people up in canada such that it doesn't suprise me how well nunuu and Justinzero relationships. But from what i hear there has been a lot of migration to canada that is changing the culture out there. I am happy to say my time in calgary and banff was a great experence. My favorite was going to melissa's mis stake and remembering i was there 23 years before. It was kinda nice having a flash back from childhood.

HaHa Banff...the aids capital of Canada, seriously. Be careful with those "carefree" Canadian girls. You are lucky because Banff just got a huge facelift, as last year the sidewalks could barely fit 2 people. We are heading out there for some time away from the city soon, so I am pretty excited to see whats changed. Calgary has really changed for the worse I am afraid. I am born and raised here, and ten years ago the city population was 1/3rd what it is now. Very "big city" attitudes have come and its kinda sad. Well at least we have one "old school" gaming store left, hell they even got nes and master system stuff on display for sale.

aids capital of the world. some how i can see that considering the average age is 26. I am from the generation that saw the aids panic of the 80s. back when basketball stars were known for a different type of magic. I don't think i have too much to worry about there as i am not looking for trouble. as for banff, in not visiting in over 16 years i can say it is safe to say nothing has changed. It was so funny i could make my way around town with out a map and mainly by memory. I am sad to hear that calgary has gotten that large. I guess black gold in the sand tends to revive the gold in the yukon spirit. Makes me glad i spent more time in canmore and banff. Have you ever done the dog sledding? That was a really fun experence.

Aren't cigarettes way expensive in Canada, and isn't it very strict there where smokers can "breathe"?

You cant smoke in a public place anymore, and most resturants are none smoking yes. But you can still smoke on the street. To put things into perspective, a normal 3 bedroom house in calgary was $150000 in 1999. Now they are over $400000..... seriously.

Wow. I also heard that the jobs pay better out there; I.E. Min. Wage for myself (in the USA) was bumped to $6 just last year. Of course, I had the upper hand, being a day shift manager so I made little more than that. Plus I hear you have hostels there which are dirt cheap. Edit: Ah! It's a ghost! Remember when I said my ladyfriend might be dead? Well, go figure... it's been a month and a week since I heard from her. Well she finally responded today, after I sent her a not-so-nice mail yesterday. Why did I send it, must you ask? Because... I really REALLY have a hard time trusting people, and I figured I'd shoot that bullet anyway to see if she'd respond. Ah well, you win some, you lose some.

Yeah our minimum wage is about $9 but cost of living is disgusting. A 2 bedroom appt costs over $1000 easy a month. There is a ton of money but our economy is slowing due to the credit crunch in the states. What happens to them, happens to us.
They just closed one of the last hostles in calgary. The city does'nt want them as "it invites uninvited guests".....

Heh, yeah. I guess they wouldn't want a hostel takeover, right? Damn though, go figure that America affects Canada so much. It being its own country really doesn't mean a whole lot, in that regard; does it? Hostels in general must be pretty creepy; I mean, if they're so cheap, doesn't that make it very easy for exceptionally freaky people (drug addicts, hookers, rapists, et. all) to get in? Is that common out your way?

Also the Canadian real estate market probably isn't imploding like a house of cards that spontaneously had a black hole manifest within it.

Seems ya are not telling the full story there yes houses are outa control there serious and yes there housing crash is comming a 5 bedroom 3 story is over 2 million actually. 1 as the us economy crashes it does inpact in the negitive fashion mentioned. However, as the us crashes and the commedities go up. anyone in the oil business up there in the black gold rush make a fortune. If you are working oil in alberta you are doing really well right now. also as the canadian dollar has gotten stronger folks on the border to the US to buy goods at 2 advantages(although calgary is probally 2 far away from the border to take advantage of this). 1. currency exchange (i remember in 2000 1usd got 1.60 cad now dollar is 1:1). 2 US goods are sold 20% cheeper even with exchange. my favorite was the $3.00 cadbury bar when it was $1 here during the same time period. now of course the price when up.

Geez, and here I thought scraping by on the bottom with section 8 housing, doing the whole bare minimum thing was rough. Of course I've only seen a fraction of the real world, nevermind those who're mid to upper class cits! All in due time.
