each one has his hobby..nothing to be mocked... Your absolutely right Good story Captain, was wondering if Orks were actually made by spores cause that would explain why theres so many of them. I wonder what the process was like?

Orks are a portable ecosystem, so to say. An ork, being partially fungial, is gives off spores. Most of these spores are inert, and of the fertile ones, few will find purchase.
However, when an ork dies, its body ejects out a great deal of stored spores. Chances are, some of these will find purchase. Ork spores will then spout some time later, and make a sort of mushroom. Some of these mushrooms will spawn squiqs, who will in turn feed off the mushrooms, and give off their own spores. Other mushrooms remain inert, these will mingle their spores with that of the squigs, and give rise to grots. The grots grow much like the squigs, in underground portions of the mushroom that serve as wombs. Eventually the grots are formed and dig themselves out, and themselves spore. Their spores will give rise to more squigs, and pollenate the rest of the original mushrooms, which grow into orks.
Orks and grots are "born" fully grown, and with an instinctual understanding of their task (Doks know basic medicine, Meks know how to make things work, ect). This process usually takes a few years, or decades, which is how orks can keep coming back when it seems like they've been wiped out. And since most orks die in a battlefield, the place where the spores fall is likely to be well fertilized.
In old fluff, though, orks were asexual, but during their time of the year, they'd leave the mob, citing the "had sumfin to do", and take on sexual charactistics until after mating, or after giving birth. Children were abandoned at birth, but able to take some care of themselves. Eventually they'd grow up and get inducted into a mob after living feral for awhile.

Makes sense to me, was killing me how they were to be. Not every alien race have to reproduce our way. I've also noticed the old Ork model designs looked liked they wore Russian Hats(Forgot the Names). Many things Change over the Years Drastically. Can't tell which looked better. Just had to put up this image!

Orks aren't a natural species. They were created by the necrons' original enemies, whose name I have forgotten.

I remember this one, its from one of the Tyranid Codexes, quite cruel for a safety procedure, but then again its 40k. Is it the C'tan who created the orks?

Not the C'tan, but the people that the Necrons and the C'tan fought. I can't recall their name. I think they made the Eldar, too, but I am not uncertain. And yeah, that's either from a Tyranid Codex or the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer.
