Wow, new stuff about the pet system. Now we got a Fairy and Chick as pets! And the cat and dog can level up to new animals! Man, I'm getting more excited about Zwei 2 now.

For levelling up, it just says "pet" but just shows the dog and cat? :O I hope the little bird can level up too! I want me a plump hen!
The fairy is uncute. :(
It's cool how each pet has their own unique properties! But does the little chicken turn INTO a bomb and does a suicide attack (which would be hilarious) or create bombs? ^^ I take it it's the latter.
Anyway, I am so making the birdy my pet! XD
Oh yeah, did y'all get your pre-order confirmations yet? I just got Falcom's usual quote for the game + shipping and that "if you are okay, we think we would like to accept your order" business. :B
OMG! I totally ignored the last newsletter! I just noticed that Pipiro and Pockle are in the game too! ^O^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new artstyle makes them look younger! ^-^~
Bwahaha. Can't wait to hear Pipiro's snarky dialogue all voiced! XD

I suppose they mean "Pet" in general. So there's a chance the fairy and chick may level up to something else. I don't know what a fairy can level up into, but the chick may become a rooster or something.
There's even a secret pet as well besides the 4.
And the fairy's cute... at least to me. But it bothers me that they categorize her as a "pet". If the fairy's one of the wind sylphs in Zwei 1, I wouldn't call her a pet... it's like calling an earth gnome a "pet"... very weird. "Familiar" might be a better word.
As for Pipiro's voice actress... Imano Hiromi.... ermm... She voiced for Tita in the LoH6... Ok, I have a hard time imagining Pipiro = Tita.
But if you heard her as Akira in Lucky Star anime, then I suppose imagining a Pipiro isn't so hard after all.

Well the voice talents in LoH6 SC and 3rd are impressive enough already, especially when a few of them are seasoned voice actors.

Awwwww, only a CD? Even Zwei!! had *2* CDs. YER GETTIN' CHEAP, FALCOM! Seems they heard you! Maybe. Anyway, new trailer up. 2:30 long, but only 320x240 right now.

HOLY CRAP!! I want this game soooooo badly!! I laughed out loud for several minutes at the end of that trailer, too... looks like they carried over the "trainer" from Zwei!!, but made him a bit more Captain Rainbow-esque this time. The announcement that Varion displayed in the above response, too, is in regards to the game's theme song, which has just been announced: "Bokura no Mirai" (Our Future), by (who else?) the Falcom JDK Band. Sounds catchy. I like it. -Tom Haha, that floored me too. Surprise Wakamoto! Didn't want to mention it in the actual post though because the surprise is half the fun. Want bigger resolution version already I just wish this game was coming out sooner, there's pretty much no point in me preordering it as it is because I'm leaving for Japan on the 30th September - so I'd be paying the EMS fee to have it for a couple of days then take it all the way back from whence it came.

Oh, cool, whatcha goin' to Japan for? And whereabouts are you going? And I wouldn't worry about getting it in a larger resolution... 4gamer.net will have it up before the weekend is out, I betcha. -Tom They better had! And Okayama, like 2 prefectures west of Kyoto, for 10 months study at the university, with probably a bunch of traveling and such during what few holidays we seem to get.

ROFLOL. That new demo clip is way awesome, but that last few seconds thingy was really wtf funny.
But that Master trainer is kinda... freakish and weird, so different from the cool master in Zwei 1. It'd be awesome if Wakamoto is the one voicing the trainer though.

Damn, you're waaaaay west. That's the part of Japan I have the least familiarity with. I'd recommend places to visit, but Kyoto and Nara are about as far south/west as I know. I've been to Osaka and Kobe too, but only briefly. Kobe was nifty, though... very pretty place. -Tom Oh recommend away anyway. I have 10 months to play with, I'll be trying to explore just about everywhere from one side of the country to the other. And yeah, the 'hi-res' (hah) version isn't even the usual 640x480, it's just 512x384. Falcom stop shrinking your trailers, we at least deserve 800x600 by now even if you're going to continue to deny me my widescreen.

Being an otaku by hobby (not character, I'm perfectly normal), my favourite shopping district in Tokyo is still Akihabara. In these 10 months, you can check out some of the anime/game conventions, like the Tokyo Anime Fair and Tokyo Game Fair, especially the Tokyo Game Fair. Usually held in Tokyo Big Sight.
For non-otaku recreation, I'd suggest Kyoto too. The numerous temples and castles in Kyoto are a sight to behold. The people there are friendly to foreigners as well.
When the sakura season comes, you should go to Izu in Shizuoka prefecture where sakura trees line the streets on a hilly area. And you'll end up at the cliffs and waterfalls in Izu. Very beautiful sight.
But that's all I know. Never been to other parts in Japan.

Just when I thought Wakamoto's only doing the narration, he's also doing a villain(?): Zahar, who's apparently Arwen's uncle. Wakamoto's sure got it going in this game if he's voicing the "teacher" too. XD www.falcom.co.jp/zwei2/character.html

Yes! Falcom updated the webpage. Wakamoto is indeed voicing the Trainer. Lol.

Hmm, seems like the 2nd character in NPC mode doesn't do much against the enemy. Then again in Zwei, the 2nd character only occasionally attacks the enemy. I was expecting a little more action from the 2nd character in NPC mode though... it does feel a little bit weird with the 2nd character and the cat running after the controlled character but not doing anything to the boss.
But still it looks good. Now I have to force myself to complete Zwei before the week ends... yet I'm distracted by Tales of Phantasia...

Okay... so how many hours more?? Guess I'll be looking at my email throughout work tomorrow. Once I see Falcom's delivery email.... that means it'll be in my doorstep either end of the week or next. Whoo, good to be in Asia. Better to be in Japan though...
Bah, I've yet to complete Zwei....
