Probably not going to the concert itself, but I'll see you both in Stockholm this summer, and that's a promise!

I demand you three get a pizza large enough to be a sin in the eyes of god, and consume it all in my honor.

Maybe I should wear a suit for this.

LARGE ENOUGH TO BE A SIN IN THE EYES OF GOD!
I mean, if it isn't enough to cover a manhole at least, it's insufficient.

The Singapore Play Concerts are gonna rule! Check it out!
Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc. today announced that veteran video game composer Yuzo Koshiro will DJ selections of his most famous works including the Wangan Midnight- and Streets of Rage series for fans in Singapore prior to both PLAY! concerts on June 15 and June 16, 2007.
Yuzo Koshiro is one of the most well-known composers of Japanese video game music. He created the melodies for productions such as The Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage and The Story of Thor, following up with the score for ActRaiser. Yuzo Koshiro is one of the pioneers in releasing soundtracks with his own music, the live orchestral version of ActRaiser was one of the industry's first of its kind. His latest work includes compositions for Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. In May 2006 he attended the world-premiere of PLAY! A Video Game Symphony in Chicago. Yuzo Koshiro exclusively arranged a suite with music from Sonic The Hedgehog for PLAY!.
Says Jason Michael Paul: "We are trying to create a concert that has varying styles of video game music. With Yuzo Koshiro mixing his classic tunes as a DJ it will be something new and exciting for video game music fans to enjoy."

Important info. The Play concert scheduled for March 29th in Hartford CT. has been cancelled indefinitely. Kind of a bummer, as I had already secured the time off work for it, and was looking forward to hearing the Actraiser music.
There is no info on this at the Play site, so I called the Bushnell Center (the venue) for details and they confirmed it. They stated that it's possible next year the show could take place. My interest in this arose when I was ready to purchase tickets and noticed all information on the Hartford show was gone. I hope this was helpful.
At any rate, if they are still intent on making Actraiser part of the show, if it does take place, maybe there is a good reason for the cancellation. Perhaps another visit from Koshiro? Who knows.

New concert announced for May 26th in San Jose, California. If you really want a cool game music experience, I recommend attending if you are in the area. play-symphony.com/I Don't know if I'll attend this one, with the big Stockholm show coming, but who knows? Anything can happen.
