Oh my god do i ever quit? (The answer is no, not when on a roll.) One of my favorite characters to draw, I took a different spin and made her seem more wily and snide than usual. Very pleased with how this turned out.  |

Imma take a random shot in the dark here. Does anyone have any renders of Ys characters on transparent backgrounds at all?Or know of where i can find a few? I really wanna make some awesome Ys art, but it takes soooo long to render out a character.
I don't know if anyone does Photoshopping here or image manipulation, but if so please do let me know.

The Ys Material Collections are a good place to get Ys character art like you're looking for. Right now my time is limited, but I'll send you a pm on this. Spamus, love your monster and the girl you drew! Great job! Finished mapping out the colors on this last night, and spent all day today working on it. I was happy to finish it!  |

Elec Man's Body is just something like a stylization, and stretching it out so enabled me to make Megaman stand out more prominently against a black background. I left the white around Megaman so it didn't compromise his form against the black. If I fool around with it and it looks OK after darkening those lines, then I'll change it.
Other things about the robot masters that look different are just me being heavily influenced by Hitoshi Ariga's Megaman work.

Time for another submission, though I would like to request some assistance with this one.  It's a rough sketch, so not the best quality, but it's also a concept. Thing is, she's from a story I have set in the future complete with robotics and the like as well as modern day styles. Problem is, as you can see, she ended up looking too fantasy. What I'm fishing for are ideas as to how I could make her fit the setting without losing the priestess feel. |

That's a great sketch! As for making it more futuristic-y... maybe lose the pauldrons and the chest sun shaped piece (but keep the long fabric down the front) and try to make it more militaristic? I can sort of see that in the legs, but it gets more fantasy the further up you go ^^~ I'd actually keep that beautiful headpiece, I think you could make it look like it was some ancient relic that had survived the ages by mis-matching it with the outfit. |

Really? I kinda thought I rushed myself on this one a bit...
Thanks for the ideas Kimimi, I can think I can work with those. If anyone else has a though, it's more than welcome. Anything I can take into account helps me create a more appealing character. (This applies to anything I post, I draw this stuff 75% for other people to see and enjoy.)

That is an awesome drawing, Spamus! I can't offer a suggestion as good as Kimimi's, but I'll say when I want something to look futuristic I always add a lot of rivets and buttons to everything, with a lot of really small details. And Kimimi, beautiful Embroidery piece! Wow! Started drawing the story for those characters I've been posting lately:  On this page they're racing to investigate some odd occurrence. Could take years to finish the whole thing. Also I'll be done with page 3 of the web comic soon, and hopefully after it is posted I can establish a weekly schedule. I won't give up on it, no matter how long it takes! |

I need to pick up some of you all's epic art skills. Imma need em in the longrun if i want to be a mangaka. Spamus as for adding a bit more Science fiction, I think I agree with Kimmi and GMF.Though I might suggest adding another accessory somewhere in the pic to balance out the outfit. Maybe make a few nuts or bolts on the ground, or perhaps add a few artificial nuts and bolts as buttons to the outfit, maybe on the neck collar?Or on the sleeves? Or even to the side of the headpiece, as if it were repaired. |

Oh wow, that's all sorts of hypnotizing. Very great though. I envy your ability to do things symmetrically there. I winged it with some colored pencil work earlier. Lack of a gray pencil caused some issues though.  |
