That's a very nice animation Haven, wow! I bet it took a long time to do that. Ok, I had a couple images in my head for a long time, so I just had to get them out. It may be the last time I visit Family GuYs. Stewie Christin, "Dancing on the Road" Stewie Christin vs. Galba-Lois (strangely it makes sense, doesn't it?)

Coolies, I especially like the Lois picture. Stewie has a "Flintstones" mouth, which looks kinda odd. Otherwise - awesomeness!

Haha, I didn't intend to finish the Lois one, but I will now.

Not bad at all (nice picture overall), but like most fan-art (and original japanese-style art by "amateurs"), the shading looks way too computer generated. Fewer colors is always better. Two skin tones, two tones for the clothes, etc.

Very nice work Trisha! Don't forget to post any new art please, I always love viewing the art of others. At another board I frequent that started in July of this year we are well beyond page 100 in the art thread.

When you get used to using 2 color layers (base and shading) You should try adding 2 extra layers of color which are: - core shadow - highlights
2 layered coloring is (I think) mostly used on animation cels which in turn also have simpler line art compared to their promotional artwork versions like you see in posters etc.
Although some animators did try to break that rule (Satoshi urushihara and Nobuteru Yuuki comes to mind).
Also, coloring is great, but no matter what fruity colors and special effects you use, you gotta work equally as hard on the line art. Try studying 'life drawing' and 'perspective drawing' You could either learn by taking classes or grabbing some "how to" books (although you need to be a little careful with the latter).
Ganbatte!!
PS: And yes, blurring the colors/shades makes the image look too computerized (I tried it myself and am now rethinking my approaches)

Gyah... work and school have conspired together to give me next to no time or energy to draw anything substantial. Still, nice to see everyone's still drawing some great stuff! ^_^ I wonder if anyone would be interested in doing an art/character exchange sometime... it might be fun for us all to trade original characters and see how another artist draws them, no? Just a thought. Anyway, here's a few random ones. All original people of mine, save the very first, which is Saleh from Tales of Rebirth. ^_^ ...never played the game, nor do I know a damn thing about him. I just liked his overall design and thought I'd take a stab at drawing him. The original boys. ...and just to prove I really do draw girls too, here's Niesse, the Seer. (Original, yay!) Yay! That's it for the moment...
