Unfortunately, there is no site. I've been working with a couple associates to help create and host a digital comic over the summer, but that fell through. ; ; The fight to publish "S.F. Nighthawk" still goes on.
Also, you can look me up on facebook (Timothy M Lindon). I tend to post my sketches there, too. If you do send a friend request, identify who you are. ^^

Really cool exercise there Spamus, I would love to give it a try, thanks for posting it.

Nieca shows us some fancy manga chops, as always. I like the cel-style coloring you do, too! Yay, go Spamus, go!! School just kicked in again for me, so we'll see if I have time to do that expressions challenge thing. Totally want to, though. Now the question is, which of my umpteen million characters do I represent...? Hmm... Kimimi: I meant to tell you this earlier... The jewelry is looking great! I've been wanting to try my hand at jewelry making for a long time too- and I DO wear a lot of the stuff. I really like that bracelet you did; it looks quite wearable and pretty.

Nieca, (and anyone else for that matter)
If all you need is some type of web space for your artwork/portfolio, I can provide that for you at no charge. Just let me know sometime via PM or Email and I'd be happy to set you up a folder on my server, domain pointing, email, ftp access, et cetera. I'd be happy to help.

Thanks Lumi! I've been practising a lot since then, hopefully I've got a bit better Keep posting your works; I'd love to see how you improve. And on the subject of jewelry-making-- where did you even begin? Did you just find a book and buy some supplies yourself, or did you get a kit with some starter projects? I'm sort of stumped on where to begin dipping my fingers into that stuff, but I really want to try it.

Expressions challenge in progress. Using Keyn since he's my "main character" or sorts. Amazing how hard it can be to do things like bereft and hollow without them looking too similar.

I'm sort of stumped on where to begin dipping my fingers into that stuff, but I really want to try it. I bought a starter set of basic bits (not a "Make your own <X>" set, but wire/eye pins/etc), a few beads and gems I liked the look of, and just had a go. The biggest helpers for me were checking out other peoples work and also just having the bits to hand to have a go with, you soon get a feel of what's practical that way. The really great thing is that even if you mess up the worst that's lost is a bit of wire or string - you can just snip the beads free and try again, so nothing expensive is lost Here are a few of my better bits -

Hmm, sounds a little less daunting when you put it like that. And I really love that green pendant in that last batch. Very pretty piece! I wear a lot of pendants somewhat like that, with the colorful glass and whatnot. The bracelet is neat- I'm guessing you had to do a lot of bending and coiling with that wire? And OMG I drew something. Class was full of lecture tonight, so I had time to sketch some quick junk out: Thymbra is little Miss Know-it-All, and her brother Jethiess is a silly dork who thinks he's like, the most epic thing ever. Seriously.

Thanks for the offer Sky. I'll keep that in mind. It's not as much as getting the web space, but the actually design of the web page. Just put the finishing touches on a new one. Here's the backstory: "Mirror Pep Talk" (Janice 'Princess Aurora', Erin de Boer) While preparing for bed, Janice expresses her doubts about her role as Princess. Erin, Janice's personal servent, leans over and explains to her how much happiness has returned to her people since Janice's return...even her father's cold heart seems less chilled. Erin: "Continue to smile, my Lady. Help to turn back the cold 'wind' that blows in the halls of his Majesty's manor." Enjoy!

It all becomes a lot simpler once you've got all the bits in your hands and can just have a go at bending things into position. It's weird how simple a lot of it is once you know how it works. Yep, loads of bending with that bracelet! Took 80cms of wire to make a bracelet about 18cms long

Such a nerd.
Kimimi posts some really beutiful hand made jewelry. . . and I'm trying to read the text behind it to find out what's going on. *demonstrates active brain hemisphere; booted out of art thread*
Yeah, it really makes me regret that I lack any kind of artistic skill.

Heehee, it's a compilation of the brother's Grimm fairy tales It's a super-handy photography aid, it absorbs the camera flash and as it's got a dark cover and crisp white pages the effort required to get a decent contrasting background for most things is minimal

Nieca: Awesome Pages, wow! Lumi: Incredible, please color them! I don't have much today, but someone wanted to see what Candy Crunch looks like (in my world, anyway):

Nieca, I love your art... I really should go back and try to follow the story so I can get the full experience. But that's more my problem than yours, ign. For some reason I keep imagining your series as a Gundam tribute, I have no idea why. But I do really love the art.
I see Lumi has drawn more beautiful people. Now I really want to start practicing coloring again.
Candy Crunch can crunch my candy anytime!
And now I'm out of derp. Off to herp~

Thanks, all of you. Mutagene: The tribute is there...actually, there are a couple. The uniform pays tribute to Macross/Robotech (of course, slightly altered ^_~ ). The "Nighthawk" mecha (which I haven't shown yet outside of my facebook page) nods to Patlabor. Overall, the artistic style I use is reminencent of early 80's space opera anime, which is probably where you get the "Gundam" feel. I also feel like I place a touch of Kosuke Fujishima (Ah! My Goddess) stylings in my character designs, too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oh_My_Goddess! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patlaboren.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macross

Nieca: I don't see a lot of Fujishima in your style, but I definitely see the 80's/90's space opera anime style in there. It reminds me of stuff like the older Macross anime most of all, I think. Which is by no means bad. And I love your coloring. Wahoo, another sketch! It's worth noting that this and the previous three I posted are updates to characters I created first back in 2001. So we have a decade of difference here. Anyone wanna be scared? I'll post the old crap. XD!!!
