I've got a graphics tablet in the post - yaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

So far I've just been messing around with Sai, so if anyone has any tips for that or can recommend any favourite programs/tips/brushes I'm all ears

Since I'm being hidey-inactive in dA, and I wanted to comment on Lumi arts~~ *does so here!* Me god, these latest batches of sketches are GORGEOUS. *___*~ I liked this one of Cassandra(?) the most though!

Also, I think I never really got round to commenting on kimimi's jewellery stuff so.... those actually seem very, very fun to make. X'D I'd love to try stuff like that some day. (If it helps, even though i literally wear no jewellery, I think I might even wear a pendant like so, they're looking that pretty!)

Lucky! Tablets are awesome! I'm working a step down from that, using a combo of my fiancee's scanner, and Jasc/Corel Paint Shop Pro. Eventually, you'll see what I mean. Everything I do from now on is going to be hand-drawn, with digital modifications.

As for recommendations, I don't have any, but I'll definitely keep an eye out here!

Sadly that's not an option for me at the moment - a tablet is cheaper for me in the long run than constantly updating a selection of paints/charcoals/pastels/papers, and whenever I do get my paints out my son quite rightly wonders why mummy gets special paints he can't play with.

Oh, well the plan is to use (mechanical) pencil or a (fine-tip) pen, and then go over it on the PC. Afterward, I'd either use a posterize filter and set it however I desire to get the best out of it -- or for more precision, just go over it with a vector layer on top and a raster layer underneath. The program has plenty of brushes, etc. that you can alter to suit your needs.

Huh, I never paid much attention to the Yggdra Union arts. But I see what you mean with the fur and such.

Alas, Jem has dark brown hair, so if I colored it, they wouldn't look much alike. XD

Oh, there's a (pretty epic) story behind Cass and all those others-- they're all part of the same story, in fact. It's getting a bit of an overhaul lately though. Cyhirae hasn't written any poetry for this one yet-- least none that she's posted on dA, I think.

ALSO: T_T I envy your coloring. Teach meeee! Or color my stuff so I don't have to?! XD!!! (Just kidding. I need to practice more. Hehe.) But that's beautiful as always. Love it~

Oh, but you should, you should. Satoko Kiyuduki has such a distinctly fun style! I shall have to lend you G.A. And Kuro if I ever get around to buying it~
