Hrrrm. Seems this is a western phenomenon; google is only finding it's father, El Burrito (no sr.) in Columbia, SC. Which is a helluva drive from here.
As for it sounding trashy, that's the general rule when buying chessesteak in Philly. Forget the popular places and find some seedy hole in the wall corner shop--best cheesesteaks ever. (If I'd remembered you were in PA for the holidays i'd have wired you money to Fedex me one! --joking, obviously)

Hey, Raison, you live in Philly? If I'm ever down there, I'll let you know. I've always wanted to have a real cheesesteak sammy. They're only my favourite sandwich, no big deal.

Nah, I'm from a few hours drive south of it actually. Used to go on roadtrips with some friends to the King of Prussia mall (MASSIVE shopping mall with alot of upscale stores) and then continue on for cheesesteaks afterward. Now I live in fuckin' South Carolina. No cheesesteak, no Italian shops, no snow. . . at least there's still sushi!
And you're right: as much as I love gourmet meals at expensive restaurants, cheeseburgers and cheesteaks are my all time favorites. Always will be.

That's pretty lame, for you.
Are you Italian? I remember your name is Joe, which is a terrible indicator, but I'll use it anyway. "The name is Giuseppe Cappuccino, but you can call me Joe. Lay a finger on my daughter, and you're dead meat."

How do you know my uncle?! No, strangely, I'm not Italian. I say strangely because you're not the first person to ask. You're not even the thirtieth person to ask. I'm occasionally even asked IN Italian. I've been told I look Italian, dress Italian, act Italian, and even "walk" Italian (thank God, nobody's said I talk Italian). "'ey Guido! Get ova 'ere" Evidently German and about 1/5 Shawnee Indian (genetic ratios are haaard ) makes for some interesting ethnic semblances. In winter: I am mistaken for a bloodless white corpse. In summer: I am mistaken for an Italian, Jew, or occasionally even Hispanic. (people only think Indian when you're drinking or gambling)

Hmm, interesting. Much more interesting than me, anyway, who's 20-30 generations British Canadian on one side, and the same but with French Canadian on the other.

Certainly the best damn mall I've ever been to. Well, 4-8 malls in one, actually. I'm sure you've got bigger and better out there in Cali though.

Went to Zaxby's and ate a chicken sandwich, fries, 5 chicken fingers and sweet tea. Man, I go there at least twice a week now! zaxbys.com/home.aspx

They changed my schedule to 6pm and decided that I should work overnight. So it turned into a 12 hour shift. I went to Dunkin Donuts on the way home and got two chicken biscuits (better than chick-fil-a?) .

This was yesterday, but it deserves honorable mention:
Lobster ravioli in crabmeat alfredo sauce, linguini and brocolli in crabmeat alfredo sauce, and crab legs. Also, strawberry daiquiries. (there was asparagus too, but I am a carnivore)
It was my mother's birthday, and my sister went all out on the meal.

A Burrito, and tomato soup with grilled cheese and bologna. The second meal not being very appetizing.

That second meal sounds awesome! So does the first!
I'm eating rice crispies. I'll probably have something in a pita after this.

Homemade Cheese Steak, baby! Delish!
My butcher knives are a bit dull so I didn't cut the sirloin as thin as I'd have liked, but even in fajita type strips, ANYTHING will taste great with sauteed onions and peppers!

AND a large Papa John's Spinach Alfredo Chicken Tomato pizza. (a couple slices of it anyway. I wasn't THAT hungry)
