Which "remake" did you play, almost every Ys game has at least 2 versions.
Oh and welcome to the board.

He could mean the PS2 one as well though, which is just as good. Damn I gotta play one of the two of those games soon. I gots me an Ys III itch that needs scratching.

No its not, its a completely different game man. Ys III PS2 is a rebuffed version of the classic gameplay, so I fail to see how Oath is better. I like Ys III in its original form, as Oath is just fan service to me. Albeit its great fan service, but I don't consider it a part of the main series of games.

Welcome! The only Ys III actual remake is YsF. And I agree it's just as good as the PS2 version! But in their very own ways, because they're totally different from each other. But seriously... let's not talk about Ys III PS2 anymore. It has been OVERdiscussed! It's not like I really don't want to talk about it, but it's best for all of us not to repeat ourselves unnecessarily.

PS2 Joystick = PC Joystick OR > PC Joystick! o.O They copy the formula. xD Oh, and using the PS3 controllers as PC Joysticks = divine They already come with a cable to conect on the PC directly.

Nothing beats a keyboard and mouse combination. It's the ultimate way of ways.
With ways!

Can't stand the Keyboard Mouse combination at all. Maybe its because I am left handed, but I just prefer a console controller. Saturn's is by far the best imo.

Left-handed colony!! xD Yo, nothing beats a GC controller. Seriously. I wish there was a way to use it on PCs... I have used them SO. MUCH., that now GC Controllers pratically fuse with my body and soul when I play. ... This is so profound. XD And offtopic. "Welcomations" were already performed. xD

"Welcomations" were already performed. xD I'll agree the GC controller fits like a glove, but the button scheme is terrible. They need s better D-pad in the 360 controller, and they need to fuse the batter pack as well as the Sony did. and Then! the 360 controller would be ultimate bliss. The wired 360 controller are so comfortable, but I want wireless...without the bulbous backing. So lets see, Keyboard and mouse, FPS/RTS. (I haven't played a DS one yet...) 360 Controller, great for newer games. Just feels great. SNES controller, probably the optimum for old school games. I really liked the Capcom one. I have yet to play a lot of classics with an arcade grade joystick but have been meaning to. BTW, Welcome adventurer! Note: I am also lefthanded.

I have a GC to USB adapter, but I never use it because I don't like the Gamecube controller. I don't know why I got that adapter, it was a bad thing to get.

The Saturn controller is pretty nice, but I don't like the feel of the buttons for some reason. Also, the ABC / XYZ buttons are leaning in the wrong direction, so you'll have to hold your hand upwards in order to be able to access them all at the same time. I mean, they're leaning like this: ../ ./ / When it's supposed to be like this, because this is how you hold your hand on a controller: \ .\ ..\ Get it? I need pics to describe better, but no way I'm doing that! Why the hell are so many controllers designed this stupid way? It makes them MUCH harder to use, I mean, your hand needs to come from the UPSIDE of the controller in order to be able to hover your thumb over them all at once - for fast and easy access.

I don't have that problem with hitting all the buttons on a Saturn controller. Just play some Street Fighter Alpha for a week and you will get used to it.
Adoru, pick up a Dreamcast "Innovation" controller converter. Mine lets you hook up a VMU, use ether a Saturn or PS controller, and any PS/2 keyboard. Its PERFECT for Ikaruga.

I need to find a cheap one for my Virtual-On twin sticks for Saturn. Truth, I forgot about the saturn controller, because I don't even own one for my saturn. (Virtual-On only system baby!) But I do have to say it was decent. Admins! Some one extract all the responses of this conversation and insert it into Video Games.

Actually, the Saturn pad is meant to be held like a mini arcade stick, hence the six buttons. You use your thumb for the Dpad like you would on any controller, but then you rest the controller on your lap and place your fingers on the buttons like you would a keyboard, for tapping akkxxctionz. Not if your a Saturn Pro like yours truly
