Yes, all voting polls will close in a matter of a few hours. I'll be working soon, so I won't know who wins until tomorrow.

"I don't want no terrorist Muslim nigger running the country!" Ugh, this is something I've hated for the longest. What the FUCK is wrong with being a Muslim? Infact, what the fuck is wrong with being an Arab? (In reference to a McCain rally in which a woman claimed fear that Obama is a bad, bad Arab man.) SURE, there's a majority that don't like us americans, but there's ALSO a majority that ARE americans! That is a contradictory statement, and to be logical... according to Merriam Webster, a "nigger" is a fucking ignorant person; so if you're of the mindset that all africans, hispanics, arabs, chinese, japanese, koreans, WHAT HAVE YOU; if you believe all of these people (or a set of these people) are *so* bad, then YOU SIR ARE A NIGGER, not the africans and african-americans which piece of shit fucknuts like yourself detest! John Fucking Kennedy, these ignorant redneck hillbilly bumpkin cowboy jackasses need to fucking grow up, I'm tired of this racist bullshit! Edit: I'm not talking *to* or *at* anyone. I'm just... shouting my anger regarding this issue in vain. I strongly detest ignorant fucking racists!

Exactly. Us americans (allow me to be prejudiced against my own country, just this once) are so narrow-minded! We seem to think that americans are simply a bunch of white redneck christians, and that somehow, only *we* are the perfect people. This line of vision, this line of thinking, this TRACK that general americans are on... it's no different from the thoughts and visions of ADOLF HITLER himself! -_-" ...Of course, Adolf Hitler was a little more picky -- you HAD to have blonde hair and blue eyes to be perfect (which ironically, Adolf Hitler didn't have those qualities)! On the lighter side, isn't that what hair dye and colored contact lenses are for? Edit: I must applaud you for bringing this up. Yes, he IS half white, and he IS half kenyan, and he IS a christian family man! ...AND HE WON! Getting back to my point, yes, there's NOTHING wrong with being Muslim, there's NOTHING wrong with being Arab -- what's wrong, is the fact that so many Americans; the people of the "UNITED FUCKING STATES". Let me repeat that... UNITED! STATES! UNITED STATES! Unite black, white, red, yellow, whatever the fuck you are, UNITE!!! I mean, give me a fucking break, do we really deserve to be called "united" when we divide our people, when we divide our politics, when we divide eachother just for thinking differently, for looking differently, and for acting differently?! I'd like to see a stronger, more enforced education, on how this division is immoral, disgraceful and dishonorable! Do the men and women of our military throw their lives away for *this*?! They saw a future, but at home, our future continues to crumble. Our quality as not americans, but simple, general human beings, is crumbling. This is something that needs to be pumped into our youths' minds. I am hopeful that the man I've helped to elect tonight, will one day help improve this aspect of our quality of life. I know he can only do so much, but I do believe that this is one of those things that he can be a part of. I want a *human* connection, as opposed to a "racial" or otherwise biased connection. We are ALL people, dammit.

The booing during John McCain's speech right now, is despicable. They boo as he congratulates Barack Obama on winning the presidential election?! Can we *export* these closed-minded jackasses? Please? >_>" They clearly have no grasp of humanity, and infact have no idea what our fathers, our forefathers and ancestors have all fought for! -_-"

I agree that McCain was gracious and noble, I applaud him for that. I suppose you're right about the booing, although it hardly seems patriotic. They support McCain, right, so can't they handle it from a McCain standpoint? Aren't we as americans supposed to be... I dunno... patriotic, compassionate, noble people? Hell, maybe I'm just an idealist, but I'd seriously like to start seeing some fucking maturity in our youth when I hit 50! You edited. I don't personally notice as much *attack, bark, rawr* during Obama's speeches, but that's perhaps because it's because this is the side that I cheered for. At any rate, I'm glad I got to see McCain as not a politician, but as a decent human being.

Obamas' speech made me smile. Lots.
And I sure there would have been booing if Obama had lost, but I also feel that they would have stopped after being told once, maybe twice.

We've been on "Yes, we can!" for so long. Now it's time for "Yes, we will!", "Yes, we do!" and eventually... "Yes, we have!" <3 I'm truly glad, for once, to live in this country.

Indeed, I'd love to finally see something get done. Though I do wonder how much can and will get done. Edit: It makes me want to cry that that funding for N.A.S.A. is never going to happen. ;__;

The thing is, nobody has a clue; but isn't that just another thing that makes this so exciting?! I mean, if something actually does happen, we'll appreciate it *that much more*. Edit: I didn't cry. I just smiled, and watched my mom, and everyone else cry; Oprah Winfrey, Jesse Jackson, random people in the crowds... <3 I can't say I'm not as enthused as your typical democrat, but I have developed an inability to produce tears as a result of something as emotionally exciting as this. That doesn't make me any less happy and proud of the fact, that I helped to elect this man. "That one" has a name, and it will be recorded in the pages of our history as Barack Obama.

Obama just won. Ehh, we survived Clinton. We'll be fine under Obama. -Tom Survived Clinton? Yes that great economy you Americans had while he was piloting the boat was tough to live through. Good thing Mr. Bush swooped in and saved you guys from stability. I will never forget what an American tourist told me one day. "Justin, these Bush bucks sure don't buy as much as those Clinton bucks did".

Wait, hold on, is it really decided yet? I'm looking at the map, and I'm only seeing 50 of the 58 states having reported in. It could still go either way!!!

So in effect, while I think McCain would've been a better president, I will concede that the act of having Obama AS president may possibly be better for this country right now. Pretty well captured my thoughts right there, that in a weird way the idea of Obama is more important than what he actually does. Which is honestly just a little bit creepy due to its implications, but hey, it is what it is.
