-shuders- I knew what it would be, but I clicked anyway, why? If anything, that video makes me want to go back in time and steal a bunch of copies of oregon trail from my school.

That song is really addicting. I still have it playing in the background. The industry can screw itself if they think we are going to buy multiple copies of a games to play on another computer.
Also I could stop laughing at the fact that one of the tags on that video is "stupid".

I cannot conceptualize actually spending money on a video game, movie, anime, piece of music ect. anymore. Piracy has been a way of life for me for the past 6 or 7 years.
However, if someone brought over one of the Falcom games (like LoH 6 or Zweii PSP) I would probably buy it; though, I would feel very dirty afterwords.

I have such a twisted sense of morality when it comes to piracy.
I won't pirate games. I used to play ROMs of old NES/SNES games, but haven't in several years and don't have any on my PC. I won't pirate films. I only ever DL'd Advent Children, and I bought it when it came out in the US. I will "pirate" fansubbed anime (I never delete them once licensed, so it basically is piracy, yes). But, I will buy anime I like and haven't downloaded. I will pirate music. But I will buy the music that I really like... most of the time.
So I guess, for me, some things are okay and others aren't. Do I care about who pirates what, though? No.

If you pirate enough you eventually get used to it and the idea that entertainment actually costs something becomes foreign. It's surreal to me how some people are willing to pay 20 dollars for a single movie DVD.
And like I previously mentioned, I'd be willing to spend money on any future Falcom localizations (as long as I own the system), but that and Shin Megami Tensei are about the only games I'll spend money on these days.
So far I've pirated every Falcom game except Ark of Napishtim (PS2), though. It wasn't so much that I didn't want to support localizations of these titles; as much as, they were either Japan ONRY with a fanpatch (Oath in Felghana and Ys Eternal) or they were for the PSP, which I have owned for a grand total of one week, and have been discontinued for years (LoH 3-5 and Gurumin). I'm not giving money to some asshole on ebay for his used copy, thinking I'm doing some grand service to the industry by not pirating. In fact, I'd say the used game market affects companies much, much more than piracy.

Well Hell I might buy Gurumin then.
Any word if Mastiff plans to bring over any new Falcom games? I heard Gurumin sold over their expectations.
And as far as the American Anime industry is concerned, I say let them die. Fansubs are superior in every way.

Spreading rumors, eh? I'll bite, I'm mighty curious what your source is! Hopefully this means that Mastiff will become the ultimate Falcom translators... Even still... can't forget Atlus. Hell, they're leagues beyond Bandai Namco!

I can't find any number for Gurumin, but you would think if were trying to follow the success of that, Zwei would be the obvious choice. VMP is pretty low on my personal wants list. I can only stand srpgs once in a while, and I just play VMO a few months ago.

Mind you, 01, that you need to play the game for 20 minutes or so in order to actually see what it's like, so try not to ditch it before that. I speak from my own experience. The first time I played it, I was like "man, this is too much slow strategic crap. Too many options/ too confusing". However, I seriously changed my opinion after playing it a second time, in which I gave it a serious, fair try. By the way, I suggest you play this engRish free version first, so that you get familiar with the game and learn to play it: if you start with VMP, you'll only get lost, think low of the game/series, and never play it again. I ALSO say that from my own experience. By the way², in that engRish version, you can play with Ys characters, namely Adol and Feena & Reah. You can also play as other Falcom characters. VMP is kind of the black sheep of the series in that you can't play with any Ys character whatsoever. But I admit it's a really good game, a really improved version of the first Vantage Master games. (All those Falcom characters were switched by Sora no Kiseki characters. I'm not against them, but I am against the character removal.) Regardlessly, I hope you enjoy it/them.

So it's primarily a multi-player game?
Well that's is even worse because I have no friends and no social life.
It's really too bad I don't know Japanese (and hate learning), because I have a ludicrous amount of free time on my hands.
Edit: Oh shit, I clicked on the link you provided. I'll definitely give it a try since it has online multi-player.

I didn't know Falcom had the ability to translate their games into English. You would think they would try to do this with more of their games.

Yeah. I love you can be labelled as "naked" with your clothes on, under the right ciLcumstances. xDDDD
Anyway, yeah, the AI is really incredible, it is so very well done. Also play on "Normal" at first. Trust me, "Normal" isn't normal. @_@ However, the AI in VMP IS normal in "Normal"... somewhat. They adjusted that much. xD
Also, I totally forgot this game has multiplayer capability: I have surely spent more than 50 hours playing all by myself, so the game feels to me as if it was supposed to be played alone against a CPU. And I know I'll still be playing them countless hours in the future, by myself.
