I'm afraid it just means I've spent the last 2 days refreshing 2ch ;_;

www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8244417For those with Nico accounts, have a short gameplay video from the first area. With music. And grass cutting. Edit: Own up, who put 'I'M DOGI THE WALL CRUSHER, WANNA GET YOUR WALLS CRUSHED?' in the comments?

Nice. Yay for dashing and rolling; those are nice additions. I wish attack combos are slightly smoother; Adol tends to miss the few hits during the combo as he goes off in the wrong direction. Maybe it's the player getting used to the combat system. But it looks promising so that's good. Decent music for the field. Hopefully there will be more videos coming up.

Hmmm, do I give in to the curiosity that's been eating away at me for the past few weeks and take a peek or do I wait and enjoy the game just slightly more when it finally arrives... *goes to check* Adol the Red-haired Gardener! Whoever he marries will never be able to complain that the grass is getting long.
EDIT: Varion edited in a question about Dogi's line before I could post. I wanna know too, which of you jokers stuck that epic line in?

Spent the last few hours watching streams on and off, seen some areas and the first 2 major bosses...
Really can't wait to play this. PSP or not, it's looking to be an incredibly fun game. Also, I'm yet to actually see an AI character die before the player, which speaks volumes about its quality. 2ch's pretty much agreed it's the best they've seen in any recent action RPG. Allies'll generally watch to see what you're doing - if you're attacking the monster's legs, so will they, if you retreat they'll join you immediately, etc. Music's great, although the boss theme has a little too much violin for my tastes. Difficulty seems just right too, even with items. Seem to see a lot of people beating bosses with just a tiny sliver of health left, which is making me think twice about starting with hard, heh.

Edit: Own up, who put 'I'M DOGI THE WALL CRUSHER, WANNA GET YOUR WALLS CRUSHED?' in the comments? Wasn't me this time. xD Also, I know I'll start with Nightmare right away, no matter how much I get butchered. 0_0

Incidentally it seems that the instrumental OP we've heard is Innocent, and Rush Out is actually a vocal version. I see. *coughlinkssplutter*

The music has a very Ys 4 vibe to it, but in a good way
I can't, can't, can't, can't wait for this. The full version of the opening theme sent a shiver down my spine. I can't handle that this and Scribblenauts came out in the same week...

Yeah that was my first reaction too, a lot of the samples in the first field theme sound like they were ripped straight from the Ys 4 Perfect Collection. *hacking cough*

Even I'm feeling excited now, after seeing those videos. T__T Not good! The wait is going to be harder still! And~! That opening movie was absolutely amazing. Amazing amazing! I think....... I like it almost as much as Ys I Complete's opening! That part in the first few seconds with the dragons swirling off.....! <3 (Ye know.... I think it doesn't even matter much that its mostly stills. The music is so epic that it more than makes up for that!) Yeah that was my first reaction too, a lot of the samples in the first field theme sound like they were ripped straight from the Ys 4 Perfect Collection. *hacking cough*What amazing coughs ye have! XD

Hmmm... was hoping for a bit more animation in the intro, instead of what's mostly just a bunch of still pictures. Not quite up to par with the intros to Ys I & II Complete, Ark of Napishtim, or Oath in Felghana, which are easily four of Falcom's best intro FMVs of all time. I find that really odd considering Ark of Napishtim and Oath in Felghana's openings were mostly stills, too.

What amazing coughs ye have! XD I understand those can't be cured. All that can be done is to make the sufferer more comfortable by buying rounds of beer for him. I think I have a nice Xandrian Dark with Varion's name on it.

Oh my god. Altago Ring, oh my god.
The rest is awesome too, but oh my god.
Varion deserves a medal for so carelessly coughing his germs all over the forum.

I declare you my favorite person of the week, Varion.

I'm still working on hacking the .iso to run on firmwares earlier than 5.55.
Progress is not going smoothly so far. It doesn't appear to be caused by any files in the image itself, so I have a hunch it'll require hex editing like Broken Destiny did.
My battleaxe is getting dull. D:
