omg one of the town themes (t003) is harpsichord, strings and flute. God, I LOVE Falcom! ... f501, good lord. Best field music they've ever done (assuming what the letters mean again!). Holy shit, f201. .......Man, This whole soundtrack. Just, wow. WOW. I'm gonna bearhug the mail carrier when they deliver my package.

The last boss theme (assuming the b### songs are boss themes)... It looks it. B = Boss, D = Dungeon, E = Event, F = Field, T = Town, I suppose. I'm trying to hold off on blowing through the whole thing before I've actually heard the tracks in-game, though I ended up listening to b002 and 0003 to test it ripped properly and... wow. If the rest of the soundtrack is the level of quality that the mini and boss tracks I've heard are, then it's definitely going to be one of my all time favourite Falcom soundtracks. The pure adrenaline in these two is fantastic, and the field tracks have some fantastic melodies going on. Think I'll be buying this OST for sure when it's released.

You're a stronger man than I. I don't like spoiling anything, but this is all just too awesome to ignore, haha.

Wow.
This is what I'm talkin' about. Way more inspired than the Chronicle remixes.

B005 sounds like it has a bit of The Strongest Foe in it.

B005 sounds like it has a bit of The Strongest Foe in it. We could expect some Galbalan boss fights somewhere along the way, then.

So, if I have CFW 5.0 with the UMD... I wont be able to play till a new firmware is released.. If Mutagene figures out how to hack the game then you can rip an .iso, make whatever tweaks are necessary and play it that way. If the game can't be hacked then since you've got the actual UMD you can update and play the game with official firmware and then downgrade back to CFW later. If that's necessary I suggest you do it. Your cred as an Ys fan depends on it.

Yotaka, I really doubt that I could hack it myself. It requires hex editing, which I have zero experience with. However, Floofy's friend is working on it, I believe. But it'll take a lot of work.
In other news; HOLY HELL, VACANT INTERFERENCE KICKS ASS. Best standard boss theme ever? Best standard boss theme ever. I knew it was going to be good from the live videos, but I didn't think it would be THIS good. The new parts and the synth really made a difference, and the solo is surprisingly good for shred.
Also, new Ernst arrange. guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh. *lecherous face*

How easy is it to downgrade back to CFW from OFW 5.55? If any game is worth potentially ruining a PSP over, it's Ys Seven..

guys the opening part of b004 sounds exactly like Ridley from Metroid. And yeah, b005 definitely has some samples from Strongest Foe in it. I haven't heard the whole ost yet, but d605 has some great energy in it too. Wonder what other tracks are remixes? How easy is it to downgrade back to CFW from OFW 5.55? If any game is worth potentially ruining a PSP over, it's Ys Seven.. Only method at that point is the pandora's battery method. I dont even have one so I'm not gonna risk upgrading my psp just to play Ys7.

So far I've heard songs that remind me of Limewater Cave and Beat of the Terror as well..
They're not blatant ripoffs though, which is nice. It's cool that Falcom added little nods to these past songs in the new soundtrack

So suddenly getting matters back to legality, I did email Falcom asking for a tracking number, and they replied.

I think I'm purpousfully going to avoid listening to any of the music so I can hear it first when I play it. It's more than enough just knowing that almost everyone here likes it.

I wasn't accusing anyone of anything! I'm hoping there's a fix too, simply because I'd rather not wait until next week for mine to arrive ;_; Stupid British postal service.

Don't be stupid : you will wait. Who cares if there are many people who will finish the game before you get yours ? You don't want to play such games so quickly. Enjoying a game, playing for one hour (isn't that a lot already ?) a day for a month, that's how you enjoy a game. Be patient, please.

No, it isn't, it's how you make a short game last when you don't have the money to afford any other ones. You can choose to enjoy yours however you like, but that doesn't give you any right to talk down to anyone else, especially when you apparently forfeited patience yourself and are listening to the rip.

Which is why using emoticons is so important. xD They help to avoid misunderstandings such as that one. Just look at this! "Screw you" and now... "Screw you xD"

Boys, boys... let's stop the fussin' and a-feudin', OK? Gillian didn't mean any offense by that, I'm sure. He was just passionately explaining his own philosophy, much as I often do with Justin. -Tom He's allowed his own philosophy all he likes, but I don't appreciate being talked down to with that 'You will do this, you will do that' tone. It's one of the few things that really annoys me, all the worse when it's hypocrisy. Oh, and I didn't see this. How easy is it to downgrade back to CFW from OFW 5.55? If any game is worth potentially ruining a PSP over, it's Ys Seven.. What version PSP do you have? If it's 1000 (or you know anyone with an original 1000 battery) it's pretty easy to just run an app and make a Pandora Battery, and then you can switch between whenever you like. Otherwise... it's more difficult. You can buy pre-done ones, though the sites that generally sell them take so long to ship a new version of CFW will probably be out already, lol.
