I always wonder ... why is it that we never hear any news from Sweden and Norway and all?
I guess there's not enough accidents and explosions to justify the world media in covering things going on in those mysterious places! :O!!

You can ask me instead. Gotta warn you though, there isn't much going on here.

Hee~! But it should be a group discussion to speculate what goes on over there. :O I suppose I should include places like Denmark, Iceland, and Greenland too since no one ever hears a peep from those countries!

I never hear a peep about those countries either. Probably because nothing happens there. Doe people even live there?

My knowledge of Sweden is simply Ikea! The modern furniture and the yummy meatballs with yummy gravy! :9~~~

I was a little surprised to see this thread actually, and I have never eaten anything else but "Swedish" meatballs so I have no idea what "other" meatballs taste like. Hmm, let's see ... Battlefield 1942 and the other Battlefield games are from Sweden. Can't think of anything else right now.

I hear stuff about Sweden at least from a friend of mine over there....though so far the general reports seem to consist of:
"It snowed today and last night."
"It's still snowing."
"Have I told you it's snowing yet?"

Care for some variety then?
It's not snowing.
It hasn't been snowing today.
I don't think we got any yesterday either.

I don't watch the news nor read the newspaper. I know nothing about world disasters, wars and other crap. I could care less about stuff like that, really. Ys is more important.

I love Finland for the following reasons:
1. Stratovarius 2. Lordi 3. Salmiakki 4. Finlandia Vodka
I've never known anyone from there, but I did know a Swede who was staying in a building I worked at a few summers ago, a bunch of international kids came with the EF program and it was a great time. We bonded over music, movies and making fun of the kids we didn't like. Probably the best summer of my life... we learned from each other, we got trashed and smoked cigarettes indoors against the building's policy, we laughed, we cried, we learned to love again.
Mostly they just taught us American kids dirty phrases. One that made us laugh plenty, and I'm sure I'm spelling this wrong, was "mus fjart." Oh, European kids, how I miss you.

That's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. And yeah, it was misspelled. Musfjärt is the correct spelling (and boy am I embarrased for actually typing that out).

Oh yeah, Norway does some good stuff: black metal. Real black metal. Darkthrone! Dimmu Borgir! Emperor! Mayhem! Immortal! Yeah, I'm sure Norway's a fun time. That's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. And yeah, it was misspelled. Musfjärt is the correct spelling (and boy am I embarrased for actually typing that out). It's even more bizarre when it happens.

Since I don't entirely get that, and have never heard those two words in the same context, I'll leave that question to Grave.

I'll probably regret this, but... what is a "musfjärt"? Does it entail crapping one's pants? It's a queef.
