Yeah, though I'm hoping it gets localized.

Random thought of the day: FUCK YOU SONY, STOP MAKING SHITTY HANDHELDS!! Seriously, I've never had to replace so many damn consoles. My first PSP had dead pixels, so I sent it in. I buy a 3000, and the screen is chipped. Then I get a replacement, and the fucking screen is malfunctioning: uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26789799Seriously, I've had it with the PSP. Its a fucking piece of shit, and anyone who thinks different ether got a good one initially, or they are delusional morons.

Yeah, I'm probably not getting another one, no matter what good stuff comes out on it. I'm just not the handheld type of guy. And hey, at least the DS is built well, Nintendo never fails in that department, as far as I'm concerned.
So yeah, I feel ya, man.

I've dropped my PSP about 10 times already and it still works fine... :/
Then again, it's a 1000, so it's not exactly fragile. 2000s and 3000s are really fragile, though, as an important contributor to the frame's stability was removed to make them thinner. Which is freaking stupid.

I still use my 1000 series as well. CFW is really nice these days; giving me the color of slim models, (NICE!) along with the functionality of OFW, faster memory stick read times, a really good PSP to Laptop/PC visual output, etc.; what more could I ask for?

Really really unlucky, but I'm not really surprised. The lady at Sony asked if it was morning in Canada, because its night in USA. I guess she thinks the sun moves from south to north

Also, I've never had any techical problems with either of my PSPs. Or any of my Sony consoles generally. Consoles tend to like me generally though, I've never had one fail in any real way - though it sort of evens out by the fact that every computer I've had has broken in multiple ways instead.

I understand there isn't going to be 100% perfect stock. I've had to replace a few consoles over the course of 20 years. Still, when it happens 3 damn times, and its the same stupid model, I get a little annoyed.

Yeah, I have a PSP 2000 and it doesn't have a single dead pixel and works perfectly. I guess Justin just was really unlucky everytime. =/ Also, great story.

Your issue with Memory Cards with your first two PS2s wasn't the consoles' fault, either (probably, that is. We will see); depending on the size of your Memory Cards, they'd screw up your PS2 just as how you described. I'm certain if the Memory Cards were of 16MB or above, it would screw things up. Or rather, Memory Cards that were bigger than 8MB, to be precise. I don't think Sony produces such Memory Cards for the PS2, though. I think it's only third-parties.

Oh... actually... I didn't mention it in the previous post, but I was wondering if 8MB cards also carried such a risk, so I went to see the Memory Cards I had, and all 3 are 8MB, and therefore I thought "nah, it probably was only for those above 8MB"... But now I'm beginning to worry. ' God, I don't want to lose my saves. xD My Memory Cards are from third-parties, too. Anyway, regardlessly, perhaps you are right; it could have been solely the console's fault. Not that ever happened to my PS2 throughtout all those years, but whatever. xD

Wow. @_@
My PSP 1000 has one dead pixel but the 2000 is okei~!
I've never had any problems with my PS2s or PSPs either! I think Justin and wyrd have bad luck!
*knocks on wood*
But ... what's with everyone dropping their stuff!? Butterfingers!?
OMG. My Nendoroid Petit Vocaloids ARE FINALLY READY TO BE SHIPPED. Here come the army of Kaitos!
....... Kaitoes?
Kaitos looks funny since it instantly reminds me of Baten Kaitos. ^^;
If only the damn Play-Asia purchase will come in stock then my Christmas shall be completely full of happiness!

Anyway, regardlessly, perhaps you are right; it could have been solely the console's fault. Not that ever happened to my PS2 throughtout all those years, but whatever. xD Ah.... how funny that you all are discussing this just when I was thinking about it all last night. Me and my memory cards. :'D 8MB cards can get corrupted. T___T I've gone through 5 already and.... at some point or another, they just stop working. That is.... after say, a year and a half or so of lots of use, perhaps, perrrrrrhhaaaaapps one's card one day might just declare 'memory card not found!' when one attempts to save one's game. (And following the laws of nature, this HAS to happen just when you've gone through a 2 hour long dungeon and have even beaten some evil evil sub-boss. :'D) And when you try to look up the save in the PS2's system mode (is that what it was called...?), your poor save shows an evil block with 'corrupted data! nyar!' underneath. Basically, when my cards behaving like so, I've realized, all I can use them for is to read my old saves, and not save on top of them anymore. (Oh! But! Randomness! After reading around about this though, I kind of started thinking, perhaps some games themselves end up corrupting their own saves? Does that even make any sense? It's just that I've read that others going through Gust/NIS America's stuffs often get this 'corrupted save!' problem too. Happened with me in Mana Khemia, Atelier Iris 3, and both the Ar Tonelicos.)About my cards though - they're all Sony. But I doubt any except 2 are real Sony. Since..... no matter how hard you try to look for one, all one finds everywhere here these days are cheap, evil pirated copies, packed in the original's packaging, and sold off for the original's price. T____T But still. This happened to my Sony original too. The first one. (Though that happened after 3 years of use. :'D) *The long incoherent, most unneeded babbles* (But I so wanted to rant about this! )And.... my not-so-random thought of the day: Augh! My cat is SUCH a pain to take to the vet! In all my years, I've had many, many, many kitties. And naturally, (almost) all have gone to visit the vet at some point or another. But none, NONE(!) have been as painful about this as Ghis! On the first trip he cried and howled all the way to the vet's, drove me to a teary mess (by making me think I was torturing him), and had to be damned anaesthetised just so that he could be examined. And then ran away, after returning home, driving me to more tears. And while today we were a bit more civilized, meh god! >____< Waaaaaaaaaa! There are still many more visits to go!!! How do I get him to get into the box next time?! D:

All that talk about Sony being unreliable reminds me. I've been through quite a few NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, and Gamecube controllers. Only 1 PS controller has ever failed me. I've been through 1 PS1 console. My Dreamcast is on its way out. My Wii is acting up too. Either "the disk can't be read" or it crashes on the SD menu. My NES of course, suffers from the same problem ALL NES consoles suffer from; blinking screens of death! Basically, the only systems that have never failed me are my handhelds, thank god.
I take VERY good care of my systems too, so why all this shit has to break down on me, is beyond me.
// Let's not forget my laptop, either!

I've had no problems with other Sony products. I buy their stereo equipment, and was a big fan of the Walkman line. Its only been their shitty handheld that's been unreliable. I've invested too much money and time into this issue, and I can assure you, I won't be buying another Sony handheld product.

I never returned a PSP for a dead pixel, I returned the original one because the start button was putting pressure on the screen, causing distortion. And dead pixels are a big deal, to the point that even Sony will replace any screen. Its not advertised as "Wicked awesome screen that sometimes has dead pixels! Get it today!".
I was unlucky, but I know others that have been unlucky too. I've had my faith shattered, and for good reason.
