My PSP's screen has about 3 or 4 dead pixels AND some dust behind the faceplate, but I'm not complaining about it.

My PSP's screen has about 3 or 4 dead pixels AND some dust behind the faceplate, but I'm not complaining about it. WHY NOT!? Oh man, I'm gonna be heading to the mall today -- the LAST FUCKING SUNDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I'm gonna hate it because drivers and pedestrians (people in general, I guess) get SUPER stupid during this time of year. It's like everyone goes into impatient-selfish-and-rude mode. People should plan their shopping times better. >:( (But I guess there are some that wait until certain deals happen.) I got all mine done a few weeks ago, dammit.

Random thought of the day: Finding OST to favorite game after years and years of searching is such a blast.

I feel like an ass. My friend told me all she wanted for Christmas was "you" (me), and wouldn't budge about it... So I'll be surprising her on Christmas Eve with a ribbon on my head. But still, I feel like I should actually get her something substantial, y'know? Problem is I'm all out of cash... I hate this stuff. The other thing too is that, what if I can't make it? I'll be letting her and myself down. She doesn't know I'll be going, but still. I think this could be a really cool moment if I do make it, and I don't wanna mess that up.
In any case, do you guys think getting her exactly what she asked for is good enough? Maybe I'm thinking about this too materialistically, and it'll be just as good otherwise.

Look, spend time with the woman, and be sure to let her know casually that you are really into doing just that.

All I want for Christmas is Alyssa, buuut I'll have to settle for random materialistic goodies that my family picked out for me. I hope the gifts I got my family arrive on time... I got a pimple sucker too! Suck the shit out of those little boogers... I wonder if I could return it if it doesn't work? Amazon does have a good return policy...

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I've known her for a while, and duh, the whole point of a relationship is spending time with the each other, not just buying shit constantly.
It must be my stupid self-esteem. I always think "Shit, a girl would never like me if I don't get them shit." but really that's just part of it. It is all a big excuse not to live my life, because I think I'm ugly, or fat, and all that other shit, but really, I gotta be doing something right to have all of these ladies in my life. Either that or they think I'm gay, ahahaha.

Got a Panasonic TC-L32X1 HDTV for a steal today.
Unfortunately, we don't have an HD cable box so I can't test out the awesome quality the TV is supposedly capable of.
Composite and S-Video is sooooooooooooooo icky on this TV even when I put the format to 4:3. >_>
But I hooked up the DVD player to the TV and then popped in Up and HOLY CRAP. THE MOVIE LOOKS GREAT EVEN WITH COMPOSITE HOOK-UP. Definitely better than on our several ton CRT TV. :P

TV looks worse in HD. Heck, everything looks worse in HD... kinda. Or something? It looks good, but I'm SO not used to it.

No, I agree. Have you ever tried playing a Sega Genesis game on an HDTV? The hardcore sharpness fucks with the experience big time! I don't want to see the jaggedness of the square pixels; if I did, I'd use emulators on a laptop! I want the NATURAL SMOOTHNESS of SDTV, (Which all classic gaming systems were CLEARLY designed for!) which is why I'm glad I never upgraded!
Fuck a hologram!

I've kind of wondered whether Gust games' texts would actually become halfway readable if I played them on a HD TV. :/ Blurry fonts! >____< .....While typing that, I have forgotten what was my random thought of the day. :'D Oh. Wait. Ys IV DoY emulation on one's PSP is most painful. *is defeated most soundly yet again* .............can one extract an ISO and music files from a BIN format file? No? Not possible?

Random Thought of the Moment: I'm upset and somehow frustrated. We can't hold hands!
Why? Why? Why destiny? Why I couldn't have sundaes in last Sunday? Why I can't draw right now? Why I can't have snow now? Why... Why I making so much "why" questions?

Well, it's only natural that things made for regular TVs (like typical TV channels and games of yore) would look crap on an HDTV since they're not being displayed in their native resolution, so to speak. :|
(Although it's sort of okei if you smoosh your TV to display in 4:3; like it's not as pixellated.)
I think it's sort of like the reducing the resolution of your computer desktop and everything gets large and blurry.
Like blowing up raster images!
Or something!
Probably not to those extremes but something like them!
I don't know any technobabble on this sort of stuff!

On the other hand, it might make the map/radar in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas more manageable. I find that I have to turn off the map so that I can even see the little icons on the map, and even then, half the time I can't even distinguish the difference between some icons!
...but that's a game I've already beaten long ago, so it doesn't matter anymore.

I'm with Smithee and Unsavory. HD is as much a curse as it is a blessing. -Tom Smart people use SD TV's for old consoles, and HD TV's for new consoles and BluRay So in other words, buy both and reap all the benefits.
