Anyone going to cons this year? They could be comic cons, anime cons, game (video, card, RPG, etc.) cons, crafts and hobbies cons, home show/improvement cons, wedding cons, blah blee bleh. Hell, you can even mention state fairs too.
Haven't checked the Penny Arcade Expo site as of late so I still don't know if they announced the West Cost PAX date for this year yet. :| But if there's one con I will most likely go to it's PAX Seattle. :3
I really hope I can meet some of you somewhere~! T_T It'll be all awkward and I'll be all giggling and laughing all the time. ;;o;;~~~ I am teh idiot when it comes to meeting on-line people in real life, or just folks I've never met before in general. I suxx0rs at small talk/breaking the ice. :V

Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concerts are probably what I'll be attending this year. According to the conductor Arnie Roth, they plan to come to Atlanta sometime this year too! I love traveling to as many concerts as I can, so the Atlanta show won't likely be the only one I attend.

Game music concerts!!! <3!! I can't wait till VGL comes back to Toronto later this year! I just hope it won't be on some super snowy day.
And duh, turns out the PAX Seattle link was at the top corner of the Boston one. September 3rd - 5th!! Before Labour Day! w00t!
Guess I'll put in my vacation time next week but I dunno how many days I want to stay before or after that. :V Gotta discuss with the boyfriend.

I'm hopefully going to Anime North this year, my first con, assuming I can get a job.

Doubtful. My attendance in any Con has been consistent in that I've never even been to one. I'll be SOL until my job's over in June.

Unknown as of yet for me, but I might be in Japan (I hope to be in Japan, and am dead set on going back to Japan come hell or high water!) www.ihighfive.com/I'm not in the US, so obviously I won't be at any, and if I'm travelling abroad for a convention, it's going to be Comiket.

I guess I went to blizzcon in '08, but that was just to meet the guild I used to play with more than me wanting to go to the con, and I technically didn't pay for admittance. Sneaking in was soooooooooooooooooo damn easy lolololol.

Well, I'd love to go to Otakon (and possibly as a bespectacled Hugo with slightly longer hair), but chances are I won't make it, since I can't get a driver's license for a while (which is my fault).
There's always the next year, though.

Well, I guess I'll attend to some anime conventions this year. I didn't go to any last year, because each con happened around the same time I had something else to do. I hope the same won't happen again this year, though I don't reeeeally miss those cons nowadays.

I'm looking at the following: -Sakuracon if I can execute my costume idea to my own satisfaction -EVO 2010 to represent Portland, OR in Jackie Chan's Fists of Fire and probably Super Street Fighter IV -PAX West which will be doubly awesome if the Sakuracon costume idea works 'cause I can reuse it here
possible conventions: -Otakon chances are slim. My intent last year was to finally quit staff because I was feeling like "that creepy old guy" who hates moe, j-pop, idols, and pretty much everything modern otaku like anime for. Still I love the VG room staff, they loved my job with music gaming every year, and I'm finding it hard to let go.. especially again if my Sakuracon costume kicks ass. Otakon would give me another excuse to wear it -Tokyo, Japan trip. Not a convention but if one of my friends can land a job and save enough money, 3 of us are talking about going to Tokyo for a week, hanging out in the Mikado Arcade in Shinjuku and playing LOTS of Jackie Chan's Fists of Fire and Fighters History Dynamite (or Karnov's Revenge in the West)

If you do go to Tokyo, and I do end up getting a job there, be sure to drop me a PM or something, and we can meet up. -Tom There's a lot of ifs and whens floating around, but if things all work out somehow, I'll definitely be in contact.

I'm definitely going to Anime North, not sure what other little anime/game cons will be around the GTA in the summer, but I'll see when I get there Might go to one of the Mississauga Reptile Expos too, even though my mom might kill me if I bring home another animal XD
