I've seen the term "General Practitioner" before, and I'd certainly know what the writer meant if I saw the phrase written out -- but it's not something I see often enough to recognize abbreviated.

Typos/errors in the original code? NOT NO MORE!
Translating information text, while easy, is kinda boring...

Grein is as much of a gossip hound as Mei....wth....

Grein is the old retired hunter who helps Theo in the museum. The guy married to Cardina. グレイン
Granted, I was really excited when they started talking about my 2nd favorite NPC in the game, but he just talks about anything and everything.
And thankfully, the English language had a similar enough metaphor for some explained in Japanese that the entire potential pun was fully translated. That was exciting too!

Added an extremely long poll....longer than expected.
Hurry and vote so it goes back to normal!

Why no 'All of the above' option?

Just post a question, and it's as good as all the above. (I ran out of options! )

I'm going to say the girl in the penguin suit, since I can't remember her name and I lost my screenshot folder.

How she could get away with being so awesome, of course!

*glances over the thread*
At the moment, I think I'd like to ask the penguin girl what the secret to her popularity is.
Or, alternately, to avoid having too many similar questions asked: Why a penguin instead of, say, a dolphin or an otter?

How did I miss this!?!
Great to see the game its getting some translation attention. If there is any need for a tester, then I'm your man!
(uh... is there a patch for zwei 1 being worked on by anyone?)

Heh, being an English speaking fan of Falcom games, I'm used to playing this stuff out of order. I mean, who here has played Ys 1-7 in order? I'm sure the list would be pretty small.
No man, I'm super pumped for this translation job!
Keep up the good work dudes, and dudettes.

Yeah, let's see
3 (SNES), 1, 2 (both COMPLETE), 6, Felghana, Origin, 4 (SNES), SEVEN, 5 (haven't finished)... and still haven't played 4 (TCD)
Compare to FF for the heck of it: FF1, 6, 4, 7, 5, (3, 2, 8,) 9, 11, 13 note: can't remember the precise order of 3, 2, & 8 note2: order of completion for the first 3 games is actually 4, 6, 1

6, Felghana, Origin, 1, SEVEN... and I have yet to finish 2 and need to start on 4 and 5. D:

Because 2 Famicom was *much* better than 1 Famicom. And then I discovered 1 SMS. My internet stunk at the time so it took me forever to "try" Ys Books I + II for the Turbo Duo.
...and now I own pretty much all of them, except for 4 Super Famicom -- I was made aware that I might have issues trying to play it on actual hardware, without modding my console even further than the cartridge slot. I still have 4 PCE, so I'm happy.
// ...and by "have"/"own", I mean have purchased, legally, so I wouldn't feel so bad.
// ...because as an aspiring game developer, I'd feel bad for disrespecting another's works like that.

At last year's Retro Gaming Expo in Portland I was so tempted to pick up a complete copy of SMS Ys 1 for $10-15
Logic finally stopped me because I'd have no way to play it. ;P
