Lots of fun, hope we get to do it again. What I want right now is a DS and Milon's Star Paradise.

-snow -more time in the day
and there's a lot of games I want that I probably won't get, but I can't bare to even get them for free. I have a backlog predating 20000000000000 BC. As far as new games go I'm sticking to Mario Galaxy and King of Fighters XI and if I can go back and finish my Ys backlog before February, I'll buy Ys Origin.

Gift exchange sounds cooool. I've done some trades with other ALOY members, but never gift exchange. Hmm hmmm, wish list... I don't usually think of this as I generally want things that are not easy to get ahold of, so I don't hope for much around x-mas. Let's see... a Twin Famicom would be cool. Kirby's Adventure for Famicom would be fun. One of those new new PS2 models, a white one. Give me this! Lost season 2-3 dvd box sets Jericho season 1 dvd box set Twin Peaks season 2 part 1 and 2 dvd box sets I'm not really interested in dvd boxes, and I only have two but it would be neat to have these, and they are easy to get ahold of unlike say a Twin Famicom. SYBREED: ANTARES - Great album, I only have the illegally downloaded mp3 files. I will buy this next month so I guess it's not a great present. Maybe I should say "give Antares" to everybody instead of buying it. Ys figs FF figs Moomin figs These are cool. I want.

Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire WorksAnd that's about it, apart from clothing. Add Architects: Ruin to your list in that case. Unless you have it already.

- A new Treasure game - A DS Castlevania game without the gay artwork if you're referring to the artwork of Portrait of Ruin, then I can tell you that Iga has already confirmed that the 3rd DS game is what he's working on after he's done with Dracula X Chronicles and that Kojima is likely to do the artwork for it. I'd rather have whoever did Dracula X's artwork (the original's), but of course Kojima is still better. Also, there's quite a few treasure games coming, new and old returning ones. I can't name them all right now, as I forgot most of them, but there's one coming to XBLA.

Ys Complete Works / Ys V PC are emulated versions too. Only they boot up the ROM right away, no need to manually open it. This emulator is really poor. Using ZSNES and a ROM image is a much better solution.

All I want are slime earrings. I really do mean that. It's the only time I've ever found myself wanting or even caring about jewelry.

All I want for Christmas is the original staff of Jumping Flash! 1 and 2 (save for the composer, who has sadly passed on) to make a new JF! game for PS3. In the original formula. Not like Robbit Mon Dieu. Not a lot to ask.
Ooh, ooh! And a Kitchenaid stand mixer. With a bread hook. The pink one! It's gotta be the pink one.

I disappeared for a few... okay, a lot of months. But now I'm back! Isn't everybody happy? Oh, they will be. Anyway, I'm doing a bit of research into what happened to the folks who worked on JF! now, and though Sony definitely hasn't forgotten the franchise... it doesn't look good. I FINALLY got Robbit Mon Dieu from the Japanese PSN store, and it kinda sucks. Even for '99 standards. The game's based on short missions that aren't very interesting, the graphics and framerate are terrible, the jump distance seems shortened a great deal, and... well, I started to get used to it 'til I played JF!1 a bit tonight, and sadly, the third game has almost none of that magic. A lot of charm in its story sequences and so forth, but... it's just not the same. It's very obvious that Exact didn't develop from the gameplay alone, but the real questions are: 1. What happened to Exact? 2. Who (other than the aformentioned musician) of the original JF! teams were involved with Robbit Mon Dieu, and to what extent? And where are they now? 3. What became of Sugar & Rockets (SCEI team that, strangely enough, also developed PoPoLoCrois 2) in the years following this game? This is what I'm trying to figure out. But, uh, enough on that for now. If you dig JF! I suggest looking at Exact's Geograph Seal for the Sharp X68000. It's the proto-JF, plain and simple. It's quite serious comparatively, but everything's there. Simple 3D, first person view, triple jumping... quite interesting. Hard to play due to the framerate, but impressive if you consider the hardware they did it on. An interesting footnote in JF's history, anyway. Y'know, all kinds of niche games like Skygunner get doujinshi fan-sequels... you'd think someone would have put out a good JF clone by now.

I really don't know what I want for Christmas, just a few ideas. - Debt-free-ness. (I owe my folks money for helping me get through the transition between grad school and work, which I'm starting in a week and a half. But I think I'm on my own on this one.) - Maybe a new Cocomotion? My last one broke, and I love hot chocolate. - A membership to the indoor rock climbing facility in my soon-to-be new town? I think that would be fun. - Good stargazing binoculars, plus a good tripod? I've been wanting to take that up, but not necessarily in the winter. We draw names in my family, now that we're all grown up. I got my dad, and my mom got me. My mom doesn't get the "keep it secret" idea. I think she's planning on buying the frame for my master's diploma. Which is cool, too. I mean I need it, but it's not exciting, you know? Good thing I have a gf, so I can count on one surprise gift. I know, my list is sorely lacking in game-related ideas. I don't have a next-gen (when does it become "current-gen"?) console, or even a modern computer, so no new games for me.
