Anyway, why wouldn't you be willing to pay for this? It's going to be fun, you KNOW it is... it's essentially a game being made EXACTLY FOR PEOPLE LIKE US! How can you go wrong with that?! (: Tournaments must be held! And recorded! And uploaded for all to see!!! Also, we can re-enact CHESTER STABBED ME with this game as well as having him smack Adol over a cliff or whatever objects they can stand on. |

The amount of variety in the tracks is really nice, I was expecting just a bunch of Ys and Sora no Kiseki favourites (Valestein, etc) there, but there's a whole bunch of tracks I haven't actually heard before (old Legend of Heroes stuff, Lord Monarch). And yes, that's probably my favourite track off the Gurumin OST too  Great choice. |

Saw a new magazine scan of Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki today. Some new characters will be:
Sora no Kiseki: Loewe
Ys: Crshe, Mishera, Elk (the whole Ys VII ensemble).
As for support characters:
Sora no Kiseki: Gilbert (!)
Ys: Lilia

As for support characters: Sora no Kiseki: Gilbert (!) YES. YES YES YES. So much love for Gilbert!!! Hahaha, you need more exclamation points here!! Lilia for support as well? Wonder what's her effect? It will be funny if it's some kind of distraction specifically for Adol as he must save her so a dangerous effect indeed. |

I doubt any characters from Ys 4 & 5 will show up since Ys 5 is the current title holder for franchise black sheep and Falcom needs to make Ys 4 first  |

Ys III is *still* the franchise black sheep, no matter what anyone says, and it's a damn good black sheep!  Come to think of it, I love III, V, and SEVEN all about the same, and they're some of the biggest deviators in the series! |

I think Ys III got out of the black sheep role with OiF; OiF is a remake of Ys III so that sort of counts for Ys III, doesn't it? At the very least, Ys V still is the title holder for the game with least attention paid. I wouldn't be surprised if Falcom decides to remake that for their next Ys game.

That doesn't change anything. Just because they made OIF, doesn't mean that it's not a different game from III. That would be like if Nintendo remade Zelda II, entirely changing the gameplay elements! (Actually, this would be awesome!) I see what you mean though, and when Falcom does remake V, I will be a VERY happy man. Especially with XSEED at the helm for translations, etc.! The only thing that worries me, is what if... XSEED decided to fork over Ys to Ignition?! D: |

Also, I sincerely doubt Ignition's going to steal these Falcom games from XSEED. It sounds like XSEED actually has, like, a standing deal with Falcom - and that's not the kind of thing that gets shifted off to another company. -Tom They've got a contract and a pretty good one. Parts of the contract need to be made public (which is why you saw some legal mumbo jumbo in some of the press releases) To me it seems like Xseed is in it for the long haul since words like "exclusive distribution and right to publish games in the Ys series" got used it seems they may have rights the the localization of the series as a whole. |
