I'm a bit slow I just realized it has Geis. GEIS! I'll be picking it up even if it it were awful(which I doubt) because of him.

It's a Falcom crossover arena fighter based on an enhanced Ys Seven engine, with kickass new arranges of underrated tunes. How could it be anything less than awesome?

Well yea thats all part of the reason I'm buying this but the primary reason is Geis and his hotness.
I'm a sucker for attractive characters.

As this board's self-crowned Sorcerian addict I am ECSTATIC that The Stolen Scepter made it into this game EUPHORIC here. That Gurumin arrangement is SERIOUSLY awesome. As is Roudo Castle from Legend of Heroes III. -Tom I really hope this leads to more arrangements of Falcom soundtracks less traveled!

The page does say something about TCG, but I'm not sure of the details.

Saw a new magazine scan of Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki today. Got a link to that scan anywhere? I'm curious what Alternative Saga-ized Lowe looks like since the one shot we got of him in the early art was pretty blurry.

Sweet, thanks to both of you.
Also, Falcom thinking of remaking IV and V? Nice to get some official confirmation of interest even if it was pretty much inevitable.

Hmm...interesting. According to vgchartz, OiF for PSP sold 30,000 copies since its release in April so I guess it's a decent success? Once XSEED releases OiF here, then we could probably expect the total sale to be somewhere around 70,000 copies, which isn't bad at all considering that's more or less how well an average game from other companies like Sting and Gust sells in total. Thanks for the link, btw.

Saw yet another scan of Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki. Apparently, Lloyd and Eri from Zero no Kiseki will appear in the game. Not sure whether they will be support or actual battle characters although I assume it will be the former.

Yeah, one of the scans I saw had a silhouette of Lloyd... I had to make Floof comment on it. XD

An AWESOME way to get back on topic! Thanks for sharing the vid!!! That's so cool!!! When does it come out again?! I couldn't figure it out with 7/29 popping up on screen every half-minute! I'm so looking forward to this!!! // Oh, guess I was thinking of a different thread entirely; we were on topic all along! STILL, awesome vid!

Got a pic of that article, but very tiny. Hopefully a good scan will pop up soon. Nice to know there's still room for surprise in the playable character department.

No offense to anyone who follows FalcomClassics, but they drive me nuts being that I think they bloat youtube with OST "videos" and uncredited cosplay videos. If we're talking about unnecessary youtube bloat camwhores are way more of an issue than 'OST videos' will ever be.

I can't really read japanese so I can't tell if it says it on their site, but will their be network play for this game? Fighting games are at their best during multiplayer, so I wonder if we'll be able to set up a network amongst the ALoY'ers so we can take advantage of it.

No, it's ad-hoc only, unsurprisingly. I don't think there's a single fighter for the PSP that does have infrastructure, anyway; the closest you're going to get is with Xlink or PS3 party play or whatever.
