They used Theme of Adol 1993 at the end of the last trailer so if that's any indication then no, they won't be giving us a new arrangement uf it, just a cool old one. Of course, they could still rearrange it (or at least take cues from it) as one of the new songs. As for the top tracks, they're 'Stage Song', 'Random (All Songs)' and (I think) 'Random (Battle Songs)'. So yeah, the entire soundtrack can function as battle music by the looks of it. So wait, is the concensus that they won't be doing rearranges for the majority of the songs? I had really high hopes for those Ys IV songs listed.

Pretty much, yeah. It was more or less confirmed when the bonus CD was stated to only contain original songs and rearrangements and listed specifics, then the last trailer really drove the nail in the coffin of the 'remixing everything' dream. Not much point in listing, say, that Descendant of Genos comes from the OiF Prearrange album (I was rather hoping they'd use that version too, prefer it to the JDK Special rearrangement) if they've remixed the thing so it's not the same song. I wouldn't worry too much about the Ys IV songs though, I strongly suspect that we'll get rearrangements of them in a year or so when they follow through on their apparent interest in remaking the game.
Also, they've just added a bunch of ED6 characters to the Support section. First, I want to take Anelace and Josette home with me. They're both adorable with the redesign. Also, Gilbert is awesome. Best pose, best skill name, best skill description.

ADOL HAS A PIKKARD ON HIS SHOULDER!!!!!!!!!!
b) it's his projectile attack in the game
Best use for a Pikkard ever. Damn how I wanted to hurl the things into walls after having to fetch them in VI and Seven (especially the former with its lack of teleporting). How did the things even get into the Wasteland and Moonlight Path when they've been blocked off for two hundred years?

...very random post, but in the very beginning, was I the only one that thought that Klose was a dude? (I'm still new here, so forgive me.)

How did the things even get into the Wasteland and Moonlight Path when they've been blocked off for two hundred years? Obviously someone launched them there. The ancient races of the Ys world did battle with trained pikkard armies

...the site's been updated, now with a second Play Report, a better look at the sytem, and 4 new support characters: Zin, Anelace (as mentioned above), Josette and Gilbert.
There's a lot more depth to this game then I thought; you can customize your attacks to the face buttons, just like in Ys SEVEN, and it looks like you can also equip and level up items/accessories for use in battle, too. (I'm using Google Translate, so forgive me if this is wrong.)

...very random post, but in the very beginning, was I the only one that thought that Klose was a dude? (I'm still new here, so forgive me.) Uhh... probably. She may have short hair and the Alt Saga artwork makes her look just slightly more boyish than her original design but the skirt is kind of a giveaway. Plus, if you can read the description on the site it has details that make her gender abundantly clear (specifics avoided in case you want to find out for yourself by playing Alt Saga or FC) so yeah. Don't worry too much though, nothing to forgive there or for being new and sooner or later we all get someone's gender confused; it's one of the charms of the anime art style. However, with this in mind I'll be curious to see your reaction to a certain part of EDVI FC when it gets released in English. ETA: Wow, you're quick. I edit the post to avoid a potential (albeit fairly minor) spoiler to find you've already replied.

She may have short hair and the Alt Saga artwork makes her look just slightly more boyish than her original design but the skirt is kind of a giveaway. Plus, if you can read the description on the site it gives her full name (Klaudia) and her title (Crown Princess) so yeah. Don't worry too much though, nothing to forgive there or for being new and sooner or later we all get someone's gender confused; it's one of the charms of the anime art style. However, with this in mind I'll be curious to see your reaction to a certain part of EDVI FC when it gets released in English. ...yeah, well, I was, and still am, using Google Translate, and sometimes it confuses "he" and "she" for one another; not to mention I thought her dress looked more like a kilt to me, so... ETA: ..that's ok, I didn't get spoiled, though I'm used to doing it myself anyway. I laso edited my earlier post about the site.

(I'm using Google Translate, so forgive me if this is wrong.) Oh good. I was kinda hoping there'd be able to customize your move set based on how things were in Ys SEVEN. And boo at the equipment. Sure it'll help in single player but I guess here comes the "no equipment" rule to help balance multiplayer.
