Since Seven did have at least one alt, there's no reason they can't do it for Alternative Saga from a technical perspective although there might be space/time constraints that keep them from doing it (or maybe they just don't feel like it).
Anyhow, the playable character section is finally complete (naturally, they left Awesome McAwesome Lowe for last) which means we also have a complete stage list, assuming they don't pull a Dissidia and have a last boss-type stage that only shows up after clearing everyone's story modes.
From Ys I:
Darm Tower (Dogi's Stage)
From Ys II:
Ice Ridge of Noltia Palace of the Goddesses (Adol's Stage)
From Oath:
Valestein Castle (Chester's Stage)
From Ys VI:
Zemeth Sanctum (Geis' Stage)
From Ys Seven:
Altago Palace (Aisha's Stage) Shannoa Sea of Trees (Elk's Stage) Temple of Flame (Crshe's Stage) Sanctuary of Wind (Mishera's Stage)
From Sora no Kiseki FC:
Bright Home (Estelle's Stage) Rolent (Joshua's Stage) Grancel Castle (Klose's Stage) Zeiss Factory (Tita's Stage) Ravennue Village (Agate's Stage) Haken Gate
From Sora no Kiseki SC:
Axis Pillar (Lowe's Stage)
From Sora no Kiseki 3rd:
Luxury Airship Lusitania (Olivier's Stage) Phantom Castle (Renne's Stage)
From Zwei:
Serpentina
From Xanadu Next:
Demon's Forest Harek Ruins Egret Mountain Strange Rock Castle Gate Strange Rock Castle Throne Room
Gee, five stages from Xanadu Next. I should really play that game sometime, shouldn't I?
Also, I just had two thoughts. First, I wonder to what extent characters might share equipment. Adol could hypothetically share his slashing swords with Chester on the Ys side and Lowe on the Sora side, then split his thrusting and smashing ones with Klose and Agate. I suppose there's not too much crossover potential beyond that, though it would be pretty cool to see Geis and Renne share polearms. My second thought was whether Falcom, who are already pulling cameos out the wazoo with music and support characters, might do the same with equipment. How badass would it be to see Klose with the Ericcil or Mishera with one of Alwen's staves (or Renne, who doesn't use them but fits the look better) or to have a 3d version of Violent Light, the Planet Buster or Geld's staff?

If this game doesn't have Vacant Interference or The Ordeal Becomes Great, I will rage.
Rage.

He better have - if he winds up being slower than me, there'll be trouble!! Heheheheheh... I fear there is only one way he could be working more slowly than you. He's... deleting a line of script a day!

Oh popular mistranslations, how I hate thee ;_; Honestly, I usually use "A Great Ordeal", but then I downloaded the OST and saw that it was "The Ordeal Becomes Great", so I referred to it as that just this once. D:

I'd be more pissed if it didn't have The Merciless Savior.

150 tracks?! Does this include remixed tracks?! I'll look forward to ripping those. ...of course, I have to wait until XSEED brings it to the US -- that will happen, right?

Bah, you and your Dinosaur Resurrection*. They haven't represented everything yet. You know what we really need? We need some Moon Scape and Geist Wraith. Every other noteworthy Falcom series has gotten love already; it's time for Star Trader and Popful Mail to get some too. Throw in Temple del Sol as an event BGM and you've covered Asteka as well and get a bonus Ys nod in the bargain.
* Not to knock it or anything, when I first saw it I thought 'Hey, that reminds me of Arcana... and it's made by Falcom... sweet!' but still.

OMG my tears is falling off, geez LOH V as main theme rocks !!!

That's not the main theme any more than Theme of Adol 1993 was for being used in the background of the last trailer, it's just one of the dozen odd remixes that they've done for the game. The main theme of the game will be one of the original tracks that we haven't heard before.
Anyhow, we finally get to hear Lloyd say something. If that is Ishida Akira doing his voice, he's putting a much more hotblooded spin on it than his usual roles.

And then ending with the small print bit, usually to a nice mellow piece off the respective OST.

So so far from the trailer, the songs that we can tell are confirmed for battle music are
Innocent Primeval Breaker (Ys Seven) FINAL BATTLE - Ancient Ys Vanished ERNST - Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim Childlike Eyes - ? Dance in the Forest - I realllly wanna say Legend of Heroes V Blaze at my Feet - ? DUNGEON: The Lost King's Scepter - Sorcerian Descendent of Genos - Ys: The Oath in Felghana Pre-Arrange Dive Into Your Fate - Sora no Kiseki Vocal Challenger Invited - Sora no Kiseki FC Cry For Your Eternity - Sora No Kiseki the 3rd Fighting Right On - ? Maybe it was Fated / Fateful Confrontation - Sora no Kiseki SC Get over the Barrier - ? A few others I couldn't make out the kanji of(video is really blurry, Wyrd or somebody, could you double check?)
And also if what we've heard in other trailers is indicative of the actual soundtrack, Theme of Adol 1993 and Soaring Through the Melancholy Sky
And that's just what's confirmed over a month before the game comes out. This is worth a buy for the soundtrack alone

You're a little late to the party - Yotaka already confirmed all the music he could discern from the earlier trailer, on June 4th: There are over 150 tracks, apparently, and from the looks of the NEW trailer, it lets you choose which track to use as battle music for each stage (at least for multiplayer), so I'm guessing they can ALL function as battle music! -Tom .... D.A.Y/BREAK is an original track? I thought it sounded vaguely familiar, but oh well; can't wait to hear the full version. ....also, on the BGM menu, what are those tracks at the very top listed in green; are those the vocal tracks. ....and are they going to remake Adol's theme?

They used Theme of Adol 1993 at the end of the last trailer so if that's any indication then no, they won't be giving us a new arrangement uf it, just a cool old one. Of course, they could still rearrange it (or at least take cues from it) as one of the new songs.
As for the top tracks, they're 'Stage Song', 'Random (All Songs)' and (I think) 'Random (Battle Songs)'. So yeah, the entire soundtrack can function as battle music by the looks of it.

...and now, from watching that video, I have the hopes of Nihon Falcom including an insanely difficult bonus boss that REQUIRES 4 player coop. And it would be glorious. Not to say that it wouldn't be without it, because everything looks very very sweet to me. Thanks floofy, those are hilarious. This Adol would not be out of place if he were to have a role in Excel Saga

I'll admit I was a hater at first, but Falcom is doing a great job with this, and I can't think of a game they've made in the past decade that I haven't enjoyed. This is pushing itself further and further into my radar, and I'll definitely be buying it as an early b-day gift to myself. I'm most likely going to order it directly from Falcom to get the CD
