September 14th. Looks like I'll be importing. I don't even know why I want the game. I just had the urge to get it after seeing this gif.

I'm pretty sure I want it, as I do enjoy some bizarre games

I'm going to say Wyrdy just has poor dexterity. I've used a Wii (two different ones, really) several times, and find them to be quite precise and responsive.
As for the DS, I want to gt Nethack on mine, but that costs money and skill. =[

Wyrdwad, with all due respect, I have to throw out the entirety of your Wii impressions. I'm going with 'user error' and/or 'inexperience', here. Something was clearly wrong with your initial experience, and it wasn't the Wii. Now, some of the early games (Red Steel) controlled like crap, but that was due to shoddy software. I've had my Wii since day 1, and I've played through a nice collection of games, including Zelda, Call of Duty 3, Super Paper Mario, and select other offerings.
For the games that get it right, the controls work flawlessly. Of course, there are games that screw things up, just like when the DS first came out and other companies went through learning curves in coming to grips with the new interface possibilities.
A couple of things to keep in mind: 1) The Wii Sensor Bar needs to be calibrated and positioned correctly. Remember, for 'pointer' games, you need to point to the Sensor Bar, not to the screen. It should, however, be properly positioned so that the difference is negligible. 'Motion' functionality is not affected by the Sensor Bar at all.
2) You should probably be within 10 feet of the sensor bar, and no closer than 3 feet away, otherwise you're likely to get pointer drop outs and reduced sensitivity.
3) Try to eliminate other strong IR sources (such as nearby candles, or overly bright incandescent bulbs). It takes quite a bit to override the Sensor Bar, but if you do, it will negatively affect pointer tracking.
I mean, there's a reason why the Wii is shattering worldwide console sales records. It's a total revolution!
Edit 1 - I tend to use the word 'gimmick' as it concerns gaming much like Wyrdwad. It's not a necessarily negative thing, but it's a good (or comfortable, anyway) word to use to encapsulate special and mostly exclusive functionality.
Edit 2 - Regarding the DS, my most recent purchases include the browser (slow), Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales (very cute, and decent fan-service for classic FF lovers), and Hoshigami Remix: Ruining Blue Earth (a decent remake of a decent PSOne Tactics-style SRPG)...

Something was clearly wrong with your initial experience, and it wasn't the Wii. I sort of agree here. It has A LOT to do with where the sensor bar is and where you're pointing the 'mote. I know from experience cuz I've failed enough Wario Ware balancing scenerios times to know. :P I eventually had to raise my monitor up a bit higher (as I play the game standing up) so it would detect the damn remote properly. :E So! wyrdwad! Give it another try, please. :((((((( And since there seems to be some discussion about wanting certain games, I just want to say that I'm waiting for the Taiko no Tatsujin DS game! Dual stylus power, hooooooooooo!!!!! I seem to also have FFXII: Revenant Wings and Rune Factory on my tracking list at GameSpot. Those aren't very high priority and I might even drop RF. I wonder if I should add My Sims? XD That game is way too cute to be ignored!!!
