Nice collection. Got a pic of all your games in a shelf or something? It looks so nice when they're lined up and stuff. I don't have that many DS games myself, and now I'm spoiled by the PSP so it is kinda hard for me to enjoy the DS due to that tiny screen. I actually got Castlevania Portrait of Ruin today though, it will be interesting to play it I'm sure. But again, the screen is definitely something that's really bothering me! So! Anybody's played Burnout Legends on the DS? It doesn't look good, but I love Burnout so I'm kinda interested in trying it out anyway.

I've heard Burnout Legends on DS is really, really bad. But if the screen bugs you, you might want to check out a DS lite. Same size, same resolution, but colors are MUCH more vibrant and the screen itself is far brighter. please for the love all that is right Stay da' HECK away from burnout ds it blows chunks :X yeah my ds games are lined on a shelf! also get ds lite better than the old model~

I borrowed a DS Lite for a couple of days and wasn't very happy with it. I prefer the old one as it is more comfortable to hold and I think the buttons are better (they're too "mushy" on the DSL).
It isn't the brightness that's the issue (I'm always using the lowest brightness setting on my PSP because when the screen it too bright, the saturation in the colors seems to increase as well , and this was also very noticable on the DS Lite, something that I did not like), it is the size of the screen. It's just too tiny.
Also: 16:9 > 4:3

I love my DS. I've been playing Phoenix Wright 2 (on the fourth case, and only now am I even kind of liking it), Yoshi's Island 2 (Awesome, if a bit easy), Jump Ultimate Stars (somewhat shallow but incredibly fun fighter) and a hard playthrough of Portrait of Ruin (which, although fun, is on the easy side and I found DoS the much better game).

I've had more fun with my GBA and DS than consoles from current and last gen. DS is currently the ultimate multiplayer system for me. Me and my cousins always have something to play because of it. Meteos and Kirby's Canvas Curse are two of the best games ever made. I also bought in to Nintendogs and Brain Age and really enjoyed them. It's these games that prove that the touch screen is not a gimmick. I've got the Castlevanias and ZX but haven't been able to play them much due to Wii and since I haven't been able to use the bus much recently. Instead, I still play Meteos (pick-up-and-play games rock) and Bust a Move or Clubhouse games when someone comes over. I'm waiting for Diddy Kong Racing and Custom Robo for more multiplayer fun.

Have you tried Wario Ware Twisted? It's by far the best one... Touched is on the lower end, imo.

I think the touch screen is a gimmick, and I really wish it wouldn't be there in the first place. I hate when you have to interrupt the game just because you have to fetch that stylus to do some unecessary thing. I wish it'd only have one (preferrably bigger) screen. The top cover just makes the whole thing overly complex to hold comfortably.

When a game is created for a new tech that can never be done with another platform, that tech is no longer a gimmick. Ports and games like ZX and Castlevania are terrible examples of the DS's tech being put to good use. I LOVE Kirby's Canvas Curse and Meteos, as do many others, and there's no way those games can be the same amount of fun on any other platform, ever (even Wii or PC). If the DS had only one screen it'd be eating PSP's dust right now, at least outside of japan, and by a healthy margin (although, the PSP would be much closer in Japan). The DS lite really does fix all of the comfort problems (that most people have, at least), as long as you hold it properly. But for maximum comfort, I think this is the best stylus: www.comfortstylus.com/index.htm

It's long, incredibly fun, and so easy to make a fool out of yourself playing. Even though it's a GBA game, buy it! ((also buy Elite Beat Agents because it's AWESOME!))

((also buy Elite Beat Agents because it's AWESOME!)) Arguably the best GBA game ever. I played a lot of Twisted on the bus on the way to college... didn't feel much like a fool actually (even for boss games like when you have to get that cat up that staircase). As for EBA, I'd rather get Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! as it's music would probably piss me off a lot less.

You people need play Rocket Slime Adventure right the hell now. Pssh. That game only held my attention for a whole 5 minutes*. I played a bit of my boyfriend's game when he came to visit in November. I don't deny that it's fun but he said it was mostly about collecting stuff for the tanks. :( 'Course he probably said more but I was totally distracted with throwing everything onto the carts. ^.^ Now, Ouendan~ THERE'S a sweet game. * Truth was, I had a game of FFXII going at the time and wanted to get back to it. :P

New FFXII Revenant Wings videoIt looks weird but interesting. I still don't understand what kind of game this will be. Some kind of strategy game it seems. The music seems nice, but the sound quality is terrible, which'll probably kill it for me.

heh, i mentioned having seen a vid of FFXIIRW in the spam thread. Seriously, it looks like a boring version of Cima The Enemy to me. I don't know how much it'll be like Cima, but from what i've seen the gameplay does resemble it quite a bit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNuDnmMOMiAheh, that was the best vid i could find of cima that shows some length of gameplay (ignore that crazy glitch ). It's probably not easy to tell, but the attacking is done the same way, and some characters attack with projectiles as well. I want no game to come to DS more than a Cima sequel, actually... it's perfect for the system. Attacking wasn't so fun, but it worked out for some of the boss battles... still, the meat was the whole idea of keeping your party safe while going through dungeons with some pretty great level design.
