well not that I dislike Hudson, but Nintendo actually saying it's coming soon is for me more real than Hudson saying "It will com to all territories" because that could mean mid 2008 as well.

No Ys yet, but this is just the beginning. But I'll happily take Gate of Thunder! Ever since I saw one video of it on You Tube I've been wanting to hear some more of it's music! Gate of Thunder is classic! That soundtrack fills me with old memories, you'll have a blast playing it. It has been a while since I listened to the music (from the game disc).

I've been hearing a lot about it's soundtrack, but I've also been wondering how it's gameplay compares to the other shooters out on VC. Does it do anything else to stand out other than have an awesome soundtrack?

Hmm, I don't know how to describe how wonderful GoT is. It's deffinitly one of the most solid shooters ever. It's not a "bullet hell" shooter, & it is great to look at.

Gate of Thunder has aged very well. The soundtrack is extremely rememberable. I love the controls especaially holding down the buttons to swith the options to fire backwards.

Japan is getting Ys Book on Tuesday. Maybe that means a US release isn't far off...

It isn't. And nobody's said it will happen either. Don't hope for too much.

It'll definitely come, I'm sure of it. There was a US release of it originally anyways, why would they not eventually release it here? Hudson is in charge of VC's turbo games and they know that Ys was one of the biggest sellers on it (3.8 million, did anyone else other than me catch that?). Hudson not putting Ys up is like Nintendo not putting Zelda up. Also, Hudson seems to listen to fans about what to put out on VC, and Ys is really at the top as far as I know.

Those sales were for Ys 1-2 Complete, weren't they?

I figured those were the altogether sales for all incarnations of Ys I and Ys II. I still think it's quite a boast for the series, being so obscure and all. But I'm not familiar with how well Turbo actually did do here... maybe everyone who had it had Ys, but maybe the series was just that popular in Japan, initially.

Ys V sold over five million copies (in Japan) only a couple of months after the game's PC release.

what, you're telling me that in Japan it sold better than every Final Fantasy and DQ game that's ever come out and yet it isn't documented anywhere?
ha, not buying.
