The Ys DS ports look about as far from fantastic, engrossing and epic as you can get. I'd love it if it was Suikoden 6, though I think I'd rather that be on the PS3 really. I'm expecting it to be something that's not really any of the things they're saying it is, and half the people guessing will just sigh and move on.

Can't say if the new version will completely ruin that but I still think it's quite doubtful. Also, I really don't think it is the game NP is talking about. But do I agree the trailer actually was far from showing the game as fantastic, engrossing, and epic, unlike trailers for most Falcom games.

Aaaand it's not Suikoden 6.
It's Tales of Symphonia 2. Which I want but it's been announced already, was kind of hoping it would be something new. Ah well.

Hahaha! That's it? They made it sound like it was something interesting and yet unknown. I have zero interest in this and I've still known about it for months!

Seriously? I thought that was already known about way before all this secrecy.
heh, I haven't even played the first one and don't think I'll ever get around to it...

It was... but apparently an American release is still worth all the attention. Shame. I have no idea why they felt the need to change the subtitle either.

yeah, pretty disappointing. They usually don't have to keep a secret about a game in the next issue if it's already been announced in at least one region. At least, that's the way I see it. Most people speculating on this figured the same. But hey, it's F-zero's 20th? They better announce one for Wii this year... or else I'll... I'll just go back and play GX while listening to the X guitar arranges to celebrate the anniversary myself... with some disappointment

Sad that it wasn't a new Panzer Dragoon Saga. That was my "you'll crap bricks" answer, but I knew it would have been too good to be true.

Well, I'd would've crapped bricks if it was a new Lunar or Lufia personally.

True, I haven't even been able to finish Dragon Song yet. But, still, I hope someday they will make a new console based Lunar that will be worthy.

I liked Tales of Symphonia a lot... but this sequel looks a bit... disappointing. Frankly, I thought the original game was very complete-- there's really no need to go cashing in on the name with this new thing. Blah. ...And I pointedly avoided Lunar: Dragon Song, hearing that it brought great sorrow to Lunar fans everywhere. Rather than taint my impression of one of my personal favorite RPG series, I figured it was better just to stay the hell away from it.

Frankly, I thought the original game was very complete-- there's really no need to go cashing in on the name with this new thing. Blah. I dunno, my first impression when it was initially announced was one of great excitement, which plummeted when the monster system was announced, but it's been gradually increasing since. I'm pretty excited for it, though admittedly nowhere near as much as I am for Vesperia. Which is probably going to end up on the 360. Which makes me sad. I actually have a Wii, at least. It definitely was complete though but eh, if they can get another quality game out of it then I'll happily play it. All depends on whether they force you to play as the monsters - there's enough party members now for you not to have to should they go that route.
