Why do people feel the need to keep giving megalink what he wants by acknowledging him? He's an attention whore, just ignore him and he'll probably get bored eventually and go somewhere else.

Olivier's English lines are absolutely priceless. The translator who worked on most of his lines in chapter 4 did an *amazing* job writing him with the most appropriately over-the-top, absolutely ridiculous lines you can possibly imagine -- about as true to the spirit of the original Japanese as you can possibly get. I think any and every Sora fan will be pleased. (Seriously, though, every character is well-written, but Olivier and Estelle REALLY shine. Or maybe they're just my personal favorites, I dunno... all I can say is, much justice has been done to them in English!) -Tom Could be both! Olivier was easily my favourite character in FC, followed by Estelle. They were both moved down a position by the end of 3rd by Renne though, which is not an opinion I expect most of the board to share, but I got ridiculously attached to that character by the end. The fact you've reached the same opinions as me makes me hopeful for this translation though. Looking forward to picking the English version up, so you'll be getting my opinions whether you want them or not!

Oh and seen as I missed this. Also, the PSP2 is BC, so, maybe Sony will have a way of transferring UMD's to it via a device of some kind? They said they would for the PSP Go. It didn't happen. Can't see why it would now, at best they've suggested the popular stuff might get a PSP2 cart release, there's no way they'll bother with anything that lets you transfer your UMDs to the PSP2, even if they say they will.

You know, if they DO release a UMD conversion device- the NGP is a launch-day purchase for me. This would entice me to pick on up earlier, too. Otherwise I'm likely to wait for a hardware revision or 2 like with the PSP

Either that or if people hack it so you can use PSP ISOs on it.

Either that or if people hack it so you can use PSP ISOs on it. Exactly why I want to buy a launch day NGP. Early models usually have the worst security.

I like to keep my systems legit
..'cept my Wii. If it weren't for the Homebrew Channel, I wouldn't have played my Wii half as much as I actually have

The LE has probably been more or less finalised by now, but there was a question I forgot to ask earlier:
Was there any specific reason for not including an artbook of some kind? Since Ys SEVEN, which was XSEED's first localised Ys game, came with a Ys series artbook, I was so sure this game would come with a Sora artbook.
Yikes, I'm surprised this got mentioned. It was just about the best thing I could think of to raise interest in the game. Although FE is a relatively niche series (well, more popular than Falcom in the West) and its popularity has declined in recent years, so I doubt I made much impact.
If you can suggest any other good ways to plug the game, I'd be happy to try it. My sphere of influence probably isn't even a tenth of what Wyrdwad's ^^;;;
Which also reminds me, and this is probably slightly off-topic, but is there a date for when Oath in Felghana will be available from the European PSN? I suggested Ys SEVEN and Oath in Felghana for a gaming site to review; they've since reviewed SEVEN, but they're probably still waiting for Oath to hit the PSN.

the same week as it's North American release. Say, does XSEED need a co-editor? I'm kidding, of course! The bracer pin is neat! Maybe, if all works out well, I could be a new T in the S fan.

Wyrd, now that you're done with Ys, will you be helping Jess translate TitS SC once she gets started on that?

I sold at least two more copies of Trails in the Sky to friends last night.
Would've been 3 but the third guy doesn't even own a PSP...
...or play RPGs ;A;

Thanks for the info. I was actually going to mention that maybe it's already out and I hadn't noticed, but didn't think it would be that coincidental : P
Silly me, I forgot to ask about this game as well. Is there any information about when it'll hit the European PSN as well, or is it still too early?
Ah I see, thanks for the detailed answer. Personally I'm happy with the pin as well (I once joked to myself that it would be cool to have a real Bracer badge and pretend to be a Bracer now I just need to get my hands on the Bracer's Notebook). It was just a little weird, solely going by past experiences (Ys SEVEN and Oath, Lunar to an extent), that there was nothing art-related. Now if the soundtrack was missing, I'm sure everybody would be bugging you about it X D
Also... jots down 2025 as an important date in my calendar j/k

Consider the lack of an artbook an opportunity. There's lots of cool art out there that would spoil stuff to one degree or another. Say, any group shot of the Ouroboros members. 'Hey, what's... but she's... what?!' and that kind of thing that you're supposed to be doing with the game, not the artbook.
Yeah, understandable on multiple levels that they wouldn't have one, even if in this case it was a financial thing. Plus, now we get to pretend to be Bracers with the pin. Does this mean we get to set gameplay challenges for each other to raise our rank or do we have to make real-life quests?

Incidentally for any non-US buyers interested in importing it, VG+ now has the game up for preorder at the standard US price and not the oddly 50% marked up price they had originally. Regular editionLimited editionLE order down and paid for

Thanks, I was waiting for them to add it.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be cheaper (from past experience) than importing from Amazon, so I'll probably cancel my Amazon pre-order and change to there soon.
Ah, I thought as much, though it's nice to have confirmation that it's hitting Europe. Thanks : )

Say, don't importers decrease the likelihood of a game's release in their native region? I'm just curious.
