Hm...kinda hard to decide that...it's like deciding which of your children is your favourites. Well, mine are :
Ys III : The Oath in Felghana (PSP)
This is just awesome! Apart from perhaps the game being a little on the mean side when it came to the extra bosses, I can't think of any other flaw it might have. Everything is memorable in there, the story, the characters, the gameplay and even the music. The artwork is exellent and the unlockable pieces are a blast to look at. Good times all around and the cherry picked best of a Falcom era in there.
Ys 7 (PSP)
This is more complicated, as it is the game that really cemented everything I love about Falcom and what I've been expecting for years in the Action RPG genre. While I waited for a good game with Adol and generally an evolution of the Ys combat, there comes the package of Ys 7 when it first came out with me not even remembering why I even purchased it from Play-Asia with the Special Edition to boot. Bewildered at my actions, I put it in my PSP and I was stocked from the first second. Something just told it was going to be awesome. After experiencing the combat and learning the tricks of it, I was excited and fueled with pure motivation to be great at that game, something not many titles could give me back then...due to me being oblivious. Fast paced combat, lots of skills, on the fly switching characters with different movesets, weapons, abilities and stats along with intuitive, twitch-reflexive, skill based action. I was in for a treat!
Despite all the awesomeness I was quick to notice its flaws though, those being lower difficulty, not because the game is easy but because the enemies crumble at the might of the team, while Adol alone could have had a challenge, the lack of a Boss Rush mode and no New Game + with bonuses, something that Falcom can pull off with exeptional gusto.
Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki Alternative Saga (PSP)
When I saw the first screens I thought "Sora no Kiseki characters in a fighter? WITH Ys? MUST BUY!" When I saw that the awesome gameplay engine of Ys 7 was used for that and a jump button, along with jump mechanics added to the game, I was fuelled with motiviation to play it to the finish, again. Simply everything is awesome in there, from the story, the characters chosen, to the music files to even the references, especially the Dragon Slayer and more importantly, the Dragon SLayer II : Xanadu / Xanadu Next ones. It just makes one smile.
Xanadu Next (PC)
This is the oddest title Falcom has released, IMO. While they have done some dark stuff over the ages, nothing seemed so serious, morose and downright old-school-epic. When I heard it was a remake of the Dragon Slayer II game, I thought I'd give it a try. While not a fast game or one that requires mastery of stylish combat tricks, the methodical and smooth combat nature of the game made me dwelve into its dungeon filled world and had me hooked. I can only wish we will see a Sorcerian remake like Xanadu Next.
Nayuta no Kiseki (PSP)
This one got me hooked on its concept for one reason : this is honestly how I always imagined a Mega Man Zero game or at better yet, a Mega Man ZX with the Zero learning system, would play if it transition into 3D. While the game has way too many storytelling flaws for a Falcom title and a bit of poor job done for the Status growth, along with really bad 2 Handed weapons designs, it really was a fun ride and the use of acievements in-game was pure genius to keep it going further, unlocking many more feature and making the player feels awesome. I just wish that we could get another game like that, but not with Nayuta necessarilly...preferably the Zwei twins, or just new characters altogether...or just Signa.

As for those I "own" : Dragon Slayer (PC) Dragon Slayer II : Xanadu (PC) Dragon Slayer V : Sorcerian (PC) Dragon Slayer VI : The Legend of Heroes (PC) I have years to play them...mostly because I just want them remade, Falcom style. And because I have them kept burned in DVDs waiting to "install" them again, If I feel like it.
