I just watched a video from Gillian, and the games looks like it could be a lot of fun. I'm not really used to games where you use the mouse to move around, but I guess I could probably adapt.
What all comes in the DVD box set? It it worth getting, or should I just go with the game only version that is slightly cheeper.

You must buy the box set! It comes with the excellent PC Engine games (emulated for PC) - The Legend of Xanadu I and II, as well as the music CD Xanadu Music Chronicle and a nice artbook. Everything's awesome. It's a must-have!

Touche! The box set it is then.
Thanks for the info Seldane. BTW, are the TG16 games easy to get through without any understanding of Japanese?

I haven't played either of them that far, but I'd say no -- it seems to be pretty complicated to play without understanding Japanese. At least the music is awesome, and LoX2 seems to be a real gem! You should ask Gamemusicfreak, he's played through 'em both.

You will need the arrow later in the game. It will be obvious when you'll need it.

???Can anybody help me? I am stuck in the middle of the game after I have made the castle appear, but unable to pass through the barrier. I went through the cave at the end of the path with the portal nearest town and now i am stuck in a room that requires me to move the some boxes and stones to climb up to a platform much higher. There is some stones blocking the way on the platform too. Can anybody who has gotten through this part please help me? I have been stuck here for the past week.

When the tower has appeared, you should go back to the tree that's just north east of town. There's a new dungeon there. And I don't know what all the rings are for, unfortunately.

Alright, so I've only just started this game and I've already had to buy like four or five keys. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I'm supposed to find some more keys in the dungeon.

You'll be buying lots of keys throughout the game. Actually finding them is rare though.

What do the guardian cards do? I assume they just help out in the increasing of stats as you level up, but I could be mistaken.

Yeah, they increase various stats. I always used the default one, and it increases your HP. At max level, I think it increases your HP by 400 or 800. Don't remember.

Yeah, I've built it a couple of levels. Not knowing how to switch between them will probably force me to use it. The only other one I'd be interested in anyways is one that increases you strengh or attack power (not always the same thing).
Thanks again Seldane.

Well, I figured out that you change cards at the church. Now I need to figure out what that little hook looking thing on the string does. I realize that it uses up the bone looking things as you use it.

Hi. I've gone through the very first dungen (the one you get the key for from the church). I have the first 3 cards and I've met the red haired person at the statue that's 2 maps north and 2 maps east. I have no idea where to go from here. Please help.

If you've already done everything else and gotten all the treasures around that area, then the red haired girl should be waiting for you at the door that was missing a round piece out of it. I think that it's two maps north, one west, and one more north. Cross the water to the door on the north bank and she should be waiting for you.
Peace Out

Oh man. Thanks sooo much. I don't know how many times I've gone through that map and not realized that I could cross the water. XD

Alright now I'm stuck in the maze you enter after defeating Scoltula. I have no idea where I'm supposed to go, and I think that I've tried every direction possible. Can someone please give me a little direction?
