I quickly talked with MP, and we agreed to just publicize the info on how to get the Dangun equipment and its related secrets in text form, because MP isn't as available as he was before to record the video on it and all that. We are sorry for the wait! So, going straight to the point: You get Dangun's Sword, Dangun's Armor and Dangun's Shield in the end of a mini-dungeon called Dangun's Tower, located behind a tree in the main field. They all are slightly more powerful than the Cleria equipment each, although that could use some more confirmation (as in, while the whole set is more powerful, perhaps one or more of the given pieces, separatedly, is less or more powerful than the Cleria counterparts). We also don't know if Darm can be defeated with that set. Also worth mentioning is that we found a relatively hard-to-get-to treasure chest on the bottom-right corner in one of the floors of the tower, cointaining an item that, I think, doubles the earnt gold from enemies while equipped, called Thief's Amulet, if I recall the name correctly. After getting the Dangun equipment, by the way, one had better keep one's health bar always full, because while leaving from the tower, there's one floor that, upon entering, you WILL get hit and damaged by a monster spawning exactly on top of you. So save after going through each floor everytime you cross through it without taking damage. The enemies are, like, lv80 or something, so you'll most likely be unable to kill them. Anyway, about the location itself, there's a pre-requisite to enter it, which is why most of us never "found" the place ourselves like so: you can only enter it if you currently have NOTHING on your Equipment inventory. That means once you get the Dangun equipment, once you leave Dangun's Tower, you will never be able to return to it. If you buy any equipment on the shops, or if you open the treasure chest in the first dungeon that contains that "Orihakun Sword" or whatever it was, then you will NOT be able to enter Dangun's tower. So in other words, you have to play unarmed until you beat that bat boss in the ruins, because after that, you can talk to Lance Village's elder or whoever that one NPC in that one house was, so that the door for you to cross to the other side of the plains will be open. The tree is on the other side. Now, there's a trick into making all this easier (it is a requirement, though, if the bat boss can't ever be defeated via bumping): you can "keep" Sada's Sword after rescuing Lilia through what seems to be a glitch: the sword is not there on your inventory (thus allowing you to enter Dangun's Tower), but if you had it equipped before AND you didn't get any other weapon up to that point, you'll be able to just OPEN the Equipment inventory and then PRESS the confirm button, allowing you to equip a "ghost" Sada's Sword. You keep all of its power stats, and you can swing the sword as well, just as if you actually had it. With the sword, you can beat the bat boss easily at level 24. It's technically possible starting at level 23, but it's VERY unviable. At level 24, though, it's pretty OK. I'm not sure if it's possible to beat the bat boss without a weapon, but if bumping does work, then the boss might become winnable after... many more levels, if that is the case. That's it, everyone.

Thank you for sharing. Interesting mechanic, no wonder it was hard to come across. Anyway, I will have to try this out myself sometime, but I'm not that bored at the moment.

What a doozy! Whenever I shake off that lazyness of mine, I swear I shall give this a try... without taking advantage of the sword glitch Although I have a hunch this might not be feasible: I just tried my hand at defeating Dales by bumping at level 99 (normally a piece of cake with the sword) and was unable to damage him...

This sounds like WAY TOO much inconvenient work to get to the tower for me to map. I don't think I have the time for that. Anyone have a saved file so I can get to mapping it? I wonder if this (inconveniences to get to the tower) is a game glitch as well, like others.
PS: anyone figure out the how to get to (or any secrets) the other parts of waterway center?

I attached my save files (FILE.MAN) to this message; It has 5 save files where you are exactly in the entrance of the dungeon. Just place the file on the same folder your Ys II Special and DOSBox are located at. Be careful not to overwrite your own save files by replacing this over your own FILE.MAN file. Let me know if it works. And, sorry, I'm not aware of any other secret not covered in this topic. Sorry. Although I didn't check the Dangun Tower thoroughly (the walls etc.) yet. By the way, it all took me like 5 hours or so. Perhaps less. Wasn't that long. Attachments:

Amazing! Nice! You even found an extra item I didn't on the last floor! Interesting! I wonder what it does. But... You missed a treasure chest on the 6th floor, on the lower-right corner, which contains the Thief's Amulet I spoke of. The mapping of the 6th floor itself isn't right either... At least the entrance to the floor is more located to the right. Oops, I just checked and, aside the missing chest, I didn't spot anything wrong on the mapping of the 6th floor. My bad. Here're two screenshots I just took of the item and the treasure chest:

Hmmm, I thought it would be that too, but I just tested, and... that's not it. It does something else. Although the Thief's Amulet does double earnt gold (just retested). Mysterious.

Amazing work gentlemen.
I have one question however, does gaining access to the Dangun's Tower fill in the inaccessible area in the Subterranean Canal? That is needed for GS to fully complete the canal system.

We don't know if or how the Dangun's Tower relates to the Subterranean Canal so far.
I'll make sure to eventually investigate the matter, though.

checked and corrected. I think Ive tried over 100X to get all the items in the tower but I just can't do it. May be if your mush higher up in levels you can kill the monsters but that's impossible without getting further in the game. It must be a glitch that you cant get in another way. Attachments:

I plan to test if those monsters can be killed, too, but I believe they can if you have the patience to grind until you are lv80 or something.
By the way, to get to the chests, yeah, it's pretty hard, but not impossible. I push them via bumping or, sometimes, spam the attack button while walking. Or both. And/Or I bait monsters out of the corridors, towards the stairs, then leave them in the center of the room, to make the crossing easier.
Also, random side note: after obtaining the Dangun set, if you still have the "ghost" Sword of Sada, it'll still be equipped with you and you'll benefit from its stats, but the moment you even bring up the equipment menu ever again, you'll be automatically, necessarily equipped with Dangun's Sword, and Sada's Sword will finally then be truly gone forever.

the words stone and stone shoes look nothing alike. Korean is very confusing.

Maybe it's a difference as slim as "rock" and "stone".
